Hey congrats and good luck on your grow! If you need anything along the way you came to the right spot :)

I don’t own any Mars products but I’ve seen some solid grows under them and their name has definitely improved over the years and that’s tough to do in this marketplace.

@MarsHydrofactory

edit: maybe 2x TSW and 1x TSL for a 4x4?

I purchased the light off off Amazon already. Haven't bought the tent yet. Should I go with a 3x3 or add a light and get the 4x4 tent? I'm looking to yield 12- 16ozs 4 plants in 5 gallon pots all organic using a SCROG topping and LST.

If you want to yield loads buy another light when you come to flower. But you will get a oz or two per plant from this light with four planta bunched up under it. I had a mars 600 old square one with the old diodes and i was surprised with what it could do i had it in a 5x5 but only used 4x3 to flower and got ok results the bid was decent but the yield wasnt great. Just see what happens this grow and maybe upgrade next time i have a spider farmer 2000 now check those out. Happy growing dude

A 3x3 would suit that light better, though there is nothing saying you have to fully fill a 4x4 tent.
12oz shouldn't be too difficult.

Never downsize your space to suit your light. Simply reduce the footprint of floor space used to house the plants to match the light(s) you have.

After you acquire more light, you'll be able to use the rest of the space for more plants.
I think your right I'm going to start my grow in a 4x4 then purchase a second light before I flower or after my first harvest with just one light.

I purchased blueberry OG seeds from Barney's farms and Afghan skunk from expert seeds. Is anyone familiar with these strains. Blueberry OG is supposed to be a heavy yielder at 700 grams and Afghan skunk at 500 grams per square meter.

No need to start too big. I'd do a full run with what you have, as getting one under your belt will inevitably lead to knowledge gained, and that could very well influence your next lamp purchase.

You might decide to set up a second tent instead so you can go perpetual, so you may want to go with a totally different type of lamp entirely.

These numbers are only relevant when you have absolute optimum growing conditions. Do not get your hopes up on your first grow that you're going to get the stated g/sM.

I've never done Afghan Skunk, but have grown a ton of original Afghani. Pretty easy to grow, and quite resilient to minor mistakes.

I'm currently running non-feminized Blueberry (non-OG) in week five of veg. I've grown these quite a few times as well, and they can be a bit finicky with temperatures I've found. They seem to really like it right at the 75F mark and 65% humidity. I'm going to keep it exactly the same when I go to flower in three more weeks, and I usually drop the temps to 68F during lights off.

I'd be happy with12 ozs. I've grown plenty outdoors in fabric pots so I am not so much a newbie. Im familiar with organic nutrients and feedings and what to look for regarding plant showing signs of nutrient problems. I know how to lolly pop and top and other LST. I've never grown indoors my temps should never get under 67 degrees during lights off. I also purchased a small humidifier for veg and a small dehumidifier for flower. I have a 6 inch intake fan and a 6 inch exhaust fan with a carbon filter. I'm very excited o start growing indoors. I think your right after my first grow I might get a smaller second tent for vegging then I could use the Mars hydro 2000 for vegging and purchase a bigger better light for flower.

I have a 3x2x3' tent with a 240W Blackstar LED that houses my 25-clone aero-cloner, a 2x4x4' tent with a 400W MH for veg, and a 4x4x6.5' tent with a 1000W HPS for flower.

I've got a very high CFM inline fan with carbon filter in the flower tent, and have a 6" duct from the cooltube in the veg tent that connects as a passive intake to the flower tent, so the heat being pulled from the veg tent keeps the flower tent warm when the lights are off. I have no exhaust fan in the veg tent at all. It's all pulled through from the flower tent passively. It's vented from there to my wood stove chimney (wood stove isn't used unless we have a gas outage).

I've been growing indoors for nearly six years, and outdoors for more than 20. I find that indoor can be more finicky. Particularly, keep your eyes open for spider mites and aphids. You want to take care of those immediately before they completely take over.

Is anyone familiar with the Mars hydro tsw 2000w grow light? I m starting a grow in a 4x4x6.5 tent and I'm curious about the light I just purchased.
Just curious if you are just starting...first grow? That light will do you fine if this is your first time. If not first time, the light is STILL very good for$. Not the best, but I've bought 100 x worse...meizhi...frigging Run! Like others say don't fill it to 4x4 you can flower to 3.5x3.5...technically...Just do 3x3 gives you room to grow. By all means get the other light too if you can. These are powerful...i gots the TSW 2000. Great light. I'm tried 3x3 but there spreading fast ✌ and good luck! Just ended 1 week flower

Go to Migro channel on YouTube and see the test results.
