Labor is not covered... I am responsible for all shipping and labor costs according to the email conversations I have had directly with black dog
this came up on another thread about a faulty BD

After three years and up to 5 years from the original date of purchase, the customer will be responsible for labor associated with repairs and Black Dog LED will be responsible for the cost of parts. After 5 years Black Dog LED will offer repair services or parts as long as parts are available; the cost of repairs and parts after 5 years are the sole responsibility of the customer. Shipping of the defective product to Black Dog LED is the sole responsibility of the customer. Return shipping of the repaired light is covered by Black Dog LED up to $50 per incident for the first three years after purchase. In the first three years after purchase, if return shipping will exceed $50, the customer will be notified and are responsible for paying any amount of shipping over $50 prior to the product being shipped back to the customer. After three years, the customer is responsible for paying for return shipping prior to the product being shipped back to the customer.

Not for folks that aren't running CO2 unless you like dimming down a driver and possibly creating more heat.
  • IP 65 for long term working in damp location
  • Inventroincs Drivers for longer lifespan and better MTBF
  • 1 KG Heat Sink Reduces Heat by over 50% vs Others
  • Custom Designed Heatsink for optimal Air Flow
Optimum performance even dimmed.

Am I making that up about dimmed down driver producing more heat? Looks to be a sweet light but what exactly is it supposed to be replacing, double ended HPS? 1000 watts of led has got to be freaking intense! Imagine if you were outside at night how far away you could see that lit up?

below 60% load on most driver efficiency starts to drop off rapidly. At 60% a driver may only lose 2-3% efficiency vs 100% load. This is usually washed out with the fact that the LEDs get more efficient as you dim. But by the time you hit 50% dimming you are down to 85ish % so your fixture efficacy has actually gone down significantly. This hortibloom looks like it uses 2X inventronics 480W drivers.

it's not going to make more heat total. But will make more heat per watt

I like designs with more than one driver incase one should fail. Reading horror stories here about lights dying on folks is how I justify owning a few different lights.

Hey I don't know how to DM on here. If I can get your name I'll make sure you're taken care of bro
Please don't take offense to this but after looking at your profile the only activity you have on this website at all is the responses you've given to this thread that is a little bit suspect to me not sure who you are or who you are affiliated with but it seems a little sketchy. If I am wrong I apologize and I mean no offense

no way in the world i'm giving personal info to leroy ee bruce. don't blame you.
Well the bottom line is anybody on here who is affiliated with a company is very transparent about it whatever is going on here is some type of nonsense black dog is a legit company and they certainly wouldn't try to anonymously handle a customer service issue through a thread this way
