It was never really the actual products themselves why I dislike MG. It has always been the owners of the product, and their conduct.

It was also part of the reason (although not a driving one) why I switched away from GH products.

Tons of folks use MG soil with great results.

I build my own and have to use a nutrient line from about day 14 or my plants get sick, people using mg soil don't have that issue.

Bruh a few questions for you.

1. Did you use tap water , if so what was the ppm of this tap water?

2. Did you add extra lime in the soil at the beginning?

3. Did you need any cal mag products added while using jack classic?

I tried the performance organic potting mix. It worked just fine. Its nitrogen heavy though so keep that in mind. It also introduced leaf miners in my garden. Never even seen those things in person until I used this mix. Usually I sterile my store bought soil before planting, but this time I didnt and now I deal with this new pest. They spread to all of my pepper plants too

I haven’t seen any problems but thanks for the info. I’m going got look into that to be sure in the morning. I used it in bottomless pots outdoors and as a top dressing.

How do you sterilize soil from store? I believe my soil came with fungas gnats. Last time I left the bag in my car in the sun over night hoping the heat would kill anything off haha But Im not sure if it worked because I already had gnats at that point.

In dry hot , non windy day, lay out a tarp and spread the soil thin as possible. Shuffle it around, exposing the moister parts to air. 2 days it should be completely dry. Or just put it moistened into a turkey pan and bake in oven at 190 degrees for 40 minutes . This will kill creatures and eggs and pathogens.

Nope nothing but miracle gro soil for cactus plants so it’s very light and airy and jacks classic that’s it nothing else started and finished here’s that northern lights from the pic I posted when I flushed her and now here’s another picture of a 1 week 4 day old gorilla glue #4 I’m growing in the same soil new bags obviously and the big bush was WiFi glue in just normal miracle gro multipurpose soil.

My cat got a bite of one of the gg #4’s leaves but other than that she’s stunning all in miracle gro I love the soil and I have no clue what’s in my tap water it’s not the greatest but I water her with bottled spring water when I get the chance but mostly just tap water

Everyone is saying that they are using miracle grow without a problem but I have noticed some people saying it yellows the leaves. From my understanding I have always been told not to use miracle grow for pot bc it has delayed release nitrogen and will release it for 6 months with will end up causing issues for the plant making the leaves yellow and curve Inward. My question is did miracle grow make a new formula that doesn't have the delayed release nutrients?? I have always use organic roots or fox farm which are both made for weed and sold in grow store specifically for marijuana

It also kills all the beneficial microbes in the soil......

Now as far as MG delayed nutrient soil AND MG nutrients in the box.

They are NOT formulated to grow cannabis successfully. The president of the company even SAID SO a few years back.

The micro's are off, the Cal is off and the nutrient balance is way off.

You might get a plant that finish's ok but, it's not going to be anywhere near what it could have been!!!
Cannabis should basically stay green start to finish. Only natural coloring of the strain should happen. Not yellow out so you have to harvest it.
