Molasses in deep water culture with bennies

This is not a sterile Deepwater conversation so kick rocks all you H2O2/ bleach guys.

I'm trying it for the first time. Just added molasses to my rdwc and Orca. Does anyone else have experience in this. I keep seeing the famous Heisenberg recipe uses molasses. So I decided to give it a try and feed my bacillus ... I'm nervous as I imagine jons getting an STD check but excited too like I just stopped into a whole new level of dwc

I would be concerned a little. DWC or RDWC?
I'm 6 single cell DWC and am trying something similar. I didn't put it straight into their rez' though. I just dunk them in a big bowl with recharge and let them sit for 5 minutes. Drip for about 30ish seconds then back into the rez. If You're like me, without recirc, I would be a little worried about excess molasses just floating around, if they don't eat it all, it'll get funky. No, my rez' aren't sterile either. Keep us posted.
Wait, no tirchoderma, no mychorizae? Ok just saw that Orca is myco. I get the myco, multiple bascili, trico, humic, fulvic, and molasses to keep them running at 10, from Recharge. No, I'm not affiliated with "Real Growers" beyond customer, but I'd go work for Scotty.

You do realize that is probably calling them in, right?

Anyway absolutely nothing wrong with experimenting. That is how we learn. If you don't push to failure you won't learn about the limits of your domain. I'd suggest a grow journal where you can post updates so those interested can follow along.

I got some cuttings/clones gentleman. Soon as they're rooted I'll start a side by side journal.

Meanwhile the moms are in flower day. 20 20 20 nutes RDWC

check out southern ag garden friendly fungicide instead of that expensive orca.

same strain as hydroguard but a million x more concentrated. and very cheap too.
I did research through forums on it. But 8/10 said it didn't work, messed up plants etc. But for 19$ on amazon I should do the old 3rd grade science project right? Have you tried it?

i've been using it for probably 4 years now in dwc/rdwc. no chiller. if hydroguard works (it does) this stuff works a million times better. lol.

1 mL per 10 gallons is about right. can't really overdose it though: i use 1mL per waterfarm (2 gal) 1x a week.

That's great feed back. I hate buying orca great white etc. Family member drivers 18 wheel trucks. And they pay so very very little to haul the load its offensive. $800 bucks to haul a whole load from ogden utah to fontana California.when 1 freaking 1 5 pound bottle is almost $300... Fucking ass holes. Talk about exploiting the community. I will definitely try it.

I'm going to have to say that molasses in dwc even with bennies is a no. Even with orca.. No rot root or anything. That I can see on roots(eh dam nvm mild root rot no bad odor but some browning) leaves started curling left and right. Definitely stunted growth. Discoloration and brown spots. Temperatures of is the same. I have an apogee par meter lights were a bit close so there's that but ya. Ph was dropping hard. Owell. And definitely a no for clones ..... Definitely need to run a controlled experiments. Oh and stems and veins turned purple mostly every where. But I dose calmag every day so its not that.... Did res change and added 3x dose Bennie's hopefully they'll recover.

yep. i was gonna tell you but i figured learning on your own is how i realized it too. mine turned into a frothy swamp water mixture.

liquid kelp works. fulvic/humic acids work. molasses not so much
I got the southern ag. I'll be using the 1ml per 2G/water as you recommended. Thanks man I'll keep you posted.
