Mold issues?

Several times I've seen people mention that venting into the attic is ideal for grow room exhaust. It seems to be that blowing hot, humid air into a confined space presents an ideal environment for cultivating vast amounts of mold in addition to your bud. I'm not sure about the rest on the country/world, but in my region mold is a common issue under more or less normal circumstances (leaking roof, etc) and carries with it some potentially severe health risks.

Other than that it does seem to be the simplest way to deal with exhaust. Am I being overly cautious or do my concerns have some merit? If anyone has some experience and advice it would be welcomed.

the best way ive found is to just vent through a window, of course have a carbon filter in the inline fan, but it cuts down on heat in the attic (which will make your entire house warmer)
