how big is the house? my 1400 sqft house gets a 1500 dollar electric bill every month.. i dont use any electric besides grow, fridge, tv, ps3, laptop, and one 13w cfl in my living room. and i have half of what your trying to use. make sure you pay that puppy on time. you say your doing tenK watts now? whats your bill right now if you dont mind me asking?
 
in a residentially zoned home that might be tough to get away with.In a commercial setting it might not raise any issues

Depends on if you are running them on the 240V lines.

Scenario 1 (240V)
8x 1000W HPS: 4.5A each, 36A total
3x 8bulb T5: 1.5A each, 4.5A total
3x vortex 8in: 1A each, 3A total
16x wall fans: .5A each, 8A total (at most)

So you're looking at a flower room that needs about a 45A breaker, for just that room, to be good. A 50A breaker would do good.
The veg room will run on any standard 20A breaker.

For 120V, you merely need to double the Amperage for everything.

I assume you meant that your entire house has a 200A main breaker, which means that individual rooms will have a separate breaker that will determine how much that room can do before any electrical work.

The only difference between 8000W and 12000W is that under 240V you will pull an additional ~18A.

For 30k watts, you are going to need to do some planning because I doubt your residence is ready for it
 
if you were going to try to do 30k in a residential i think youll get red flagged. your rent would be paid on an industrial building with the money you would be saving in discounted electric.
 
pretty much it will be 10k on 12 12 my friend had 15 k running and got raided after awhile but his house was pretty much a cannabis club with a desk in his living room with jars
 
You can definitely do it man, just be careful.

Not sure if you have your card or not, or your situation, but that's a lot of power and can easily set off some flags. I have a card and grow 10k legally in terms of state, and I'm still a bit weary that I might receive an unwanted/uninvited visit by the leo.
 
i did 8 lights without a veg room for a year and ky bill would get up to 700 no problems. at a 1000 a month i wonder if it will make a difference
