Multiple bulbs for maximum Kelvin?

I have a pretty small grow room and my 200 watt hps can get the tempature up to 86 F. I want to add more lights and I was thinking of cfls because they are so much cooler. I was also thinking of getting some "daylight" and "warmlight" bulbs so that my plants would be getting a wider range of the Kelvin Scale.
Does anyone out there use different bulbs at the same time for this purpose? Or is it just a waste of time?

Side lighting is great. however you will need the lights close to the plant to really help .
cfls are cooler than most lights but they will produce heat. You might want to vent the heat out somehow.

CFLs put off a good amount of heat as well by the time you get enough to do any good they will be hotter then the 200 watt light. Invest in a cool tube for that little 200 watter and then maybe a few t5 florescent tubes. They come in 2 footers and arnt to badd get like 8 and put them on the walls 2 on each of the walls this will fill all the sides and lower stuff without adding heat

If you're sitting on or over the 250 watt range, go with MH. If you're under 250w, go with T5HO.
