my ph keeps going up. i set my ph at 5.8 and it goes up to 6.2 after one feeding and if i let my nute mix run a second feeding with out adjustment, it goes up to 6.4 ph. my tds meter has also gone up from 600 ppm to 800 after 5 feedings from a 3 gallon resivoir. what do you guys think is happening? I'm sure the reason the ppm is going up is because the plants are drinking more water than they are consuming nutrients. But what is the deal with the ph keep going up? is it because of the coco you think? this stuff is supposed to be ph balanced. Does anybody have any ideas?
Sorry dude cant help you as i only grow in soil.
I only just started bothering to ph test my water a week ago.
The only thing i can suggest is to flush weekly and you may be right that they need more drink and less food.
Try raising the humidity with a few dishes of water evaporating if you don't have the equipment:blsmoke:

yeah, raising the humidity might do it. I just sprayed the leaves with bubbly water. hopefully that helps, they are still getting plenty of water in thier food, no signs of nutrient burn, I am having trouble figuring out what it is making my nutrient water so acidic.

Keep adding fresh water to the rez to help bring ppm's down. Then when you flush the rez, start over with slightly weaker nutes and see if that keeps the pH from fluctuating.

Thanks sublime. i think your right. i'm feeding too aggressive. I'll cut the ppm back to 500 when I switch out the res in a few days. Although I'm not seeing any tip burn. the plants are responding very well its seems to the food. if the plants start to stress then I will flush for sure. Until then I'm using a little ph down, we'll see what happens.

Day 4 plants look good. I've now gone from a 24 hr. light cycle down to 18/6. hopefully these plants will start to show thier sex around 10-12" tall. Hope so because they will be getting flowered whether they want it or not. I've always wanted to try bud blood, and have some on standby if needed. Here are a couple pictures of all the plants

I have used Bud Blood now for about 4 cycles....I really can't say that I notice "alot" of change compared to with out it... But who knows, maybe I am just getting used to quick bud growth! By the end of 14 days of bloom, I always have cotton balls on my plants now..

Yes it looks like your plants have responded very well to it. Adv. nutes guarentees your plant to start budding fast no matter what the light cycle is. I think one of my plants, the big one is starting to preflower. I'm seeing 2 white hairs coming from a node near the top. Let me see if i can get a good picture

OK I have a NEW #1 plant and I've named the other plant slightly lagging behind ketchup because he has not far to go.This is most likely the plant that I will be setting in my Ebb and flow deep water culture bubbler.

Ya thanks man. i'm suprised myself after only 5 days and the plants are 30" away from a 400w MH. I keep my co2 @ 1500 to 2100ppm (.05cfm) consistant flow. Who was that stupid ass that said co2 only works with 1000w lightbulbs? My boss is the same way. He thinks 1000w is the only thing that can get the job done.

Once my plants get about 3 inches taller I will be turning on some of my LED lights to get them green and vibrant looking. right now the plants are too short to get the LEDs up close enouph without blocking the MH.

and sublime, i dont think cfls will be strong enough, unless you go hella lights. those yeast things dont do shit. you need to establish higher ppms

I was referring to the other users who grow with only CFL's. I wasn't by any means recommending it.

Right now I'm using a 5 Lb. tank hooked up to a control wizard rugulator. the end of the co2 hose is placed behind my circulation fan. The only time my co2 turns off is with the lights and during an exhaust fan cycle.
