My DIY screen for the "next Grow" gettin ready ahead of time. made from 9 gauge galvinized wire and wire clothes hangers....i think it might just work. its about 2'x2' maybe even 2 1/2' x 2 1/2'.

I also should have mentioned that i started flush today to give the buds 3 weeks worth of flushin.....2 weeks for the nutes that are built up in the soil and another week for the stored nutes in the plant leaves to disipate. <is that spelled right? cause when i sampled the bud the day before it kinda tore my throat up a lil and i want it to be nice n smooth. i will add nutes if need be but im weening them down as of last night.

Day 62

Bagseed
well this plant is doing exceptionaly good, please dont mind my spelling tonight Im kinda blitzed right now.

Bagseed is 92 days old all together, 54 of those days it has been flowering. And the trichomes are starting to turn cloudy. they have went from a sparkely look to a snowy frosty look in just two days time. they seem to be getting a lil more dense except for the top two buds, i think because i topped her a lil too late, but all is still good. id say if i cut the last 6 nodes off there will be atleast an once in dry bud and i have the plant about 15 nodes or branches high with even bigger buds below the top. i suspect about 3 onces of dry bud from my 3' 1" plant. im glad i veged her for 40 days and the first 2 1/2 weeks or so she was aeroponicaly grown so it gave her like 1 week or 2 head start rather than starting in dirt.

i think i got about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks left and i'll be ready to harvest. About five days ago i gave her one last shot of nutes because some leaves on top were turning yellow. the bottom leaves have been gettin the life sucked out of them and are starting to fall off, which i have read that this is completly normal towards the end of the budding stage for the cannabis plant. so i take this as a good sign.

the branches are starting to lean downwards from the weight of the buds so im gonna have to tie them up sometime soon. the buds are actually kinda twisting the branches. in the pics below you can bearly see any trichomes if any at all but belive me the buds are caked with them.....

Orange Bud...... MALE!?!?!
this will be the last update for the orange bud since it is a male but i will let you know how the pollen production went after all is said and done.

lil Mr. orange bud is 62 days old from seed. 33 days from D-day and 17 days into flowering. his lil balls are starting to form all over the place and he is exactly 2 ft 7 inches tall.......male plants are rapidly fast growers but are slender compared to the female. i cant wait to get his pollen and breed him with the young bagseed buds that i will leave intact after harvest maybe one or two of the smaller bud producing branches.....

well thats that....all is going smoothly except for the small deficiencies in the bagseed but i think its just mainly a Nitrogen def. ....and there are also quite a few tiny lil brown spots on the very very old upper fan leaves.......hopefully its nothing major....all the bud leaves are still nice n green except for the ones i burnt with the CFL's in the earlier stages.

Day 72
well it has been exactly 10 days from my last update, so im do for another one.

Bagseed
102 days old from seed, 64 days flowering. instead of not giving it nutes like i said about 10 days ago i decided to feed it up untill yesterday which is now seriously the last time im feeding this plant.

the reason for this is, is because if i were to grow this beauty out anymore than what i have forecasted, the branches would snap from the great deal of weight that the buds have put on. i have ran into a couple problems, one was about 4 days ago when i came to check in on her when the lights turned on and 2 of the bigger buds were leaning down and touching the floor so i had to tie them up....the only reason the plant cannot support its weight is because the taproot cannot get any bigger than the aerogarden pod hole allows, because if i remember correctly that is what i started the lil girl out in,.........The aerogarden,... eventually going to dirt.

i have decided that harvest day would be the 11th of june. and hopefully a few weeks after i'll be smoking some fresh herb.......

well i got sketchy about him and could help but think "what if one of his nuts bursted open and fucked my sexy bagseed plant" so i cut his ass yo........lol he had to go, there was no way i could risk it, unless i had a seperate room to grow males or something but i dont. i chopped him down on 5/22/08. RIP Orange bud.

Day 78

Bagseed
108 days from seedling, 70 days flowering
flushed for the past 8 days. will harvest in two days. well actually 1 day now
Buds have a golden tinge to them so i decided to do it a week early than what i have predicted. they have gotten so heavy that two of the branches snapped 2 days ago so they have been in the drying process along with the trim to make hash from later on.
smoked a lil peice that dried up to a crisp that was on one of the snapped branches just to sample it and man did i get ripped.........its gonna be some awesome smoke. i've taken pictures today but im not gonna post them till i harvest along with the harvest pictures .....gotta get to bed soon but i figure i would do n update first.

I have heard it was better to harvest right before the lights kicked on so thats what im gonna do. i've just given her the last water she will get....i've heard if you dont water 24 hours before harvest it lets for a wuicker drying time so im gonna do 36 since my soil doesnt have good drainage ( not much perlite)

Day 80

TIME TO CUT DOWN THE TREE!!!!! what a fun day....i'll be posting pics of the fresh buds and weight tonight after all is manicured...........

well just got done manicuring 30 min. ago what a long day this was.....trimming for 10 hours straight with the help from my G/F i'd say there is atleast 21 ounces of wet weight hopefully i'll get 3 to 4 ounces dry weight. and my journey with mary jane has now come to an end....my first harvest ever

total days from seedling: 110 days
total days flowering: 72
overall wet weight: aprox. 21 ounces with stems
techniques used: topped
found two seeds fully matured ????? WTF no males so she must have pollenated herself
i have two boxes full of trim for hash after all is dry and i also got some tasty lookin fingure hash off of the trimmers, i'd say about a nice bowl full.


and here are my buds....all trophy buds of course!

just got done smokin some of the fingure hash and man did it taste awesome.......this would be the first time ever for me....it was a very unique buzz kinda like creeper weed......got high when i smoked it then 10 minutes later i noticed i was even more ripped than before.....good stuff

well all is done and dry and i got a total of 4.2 ounces of bud. i took 33 grams of trimmings and ice water extracted the trichomes(used the gumby method) and got 1.8 grams of descent grade hash and and .4 grams of lower grade hash, not bad for something from nothing... the high from the bud is very clean all around high, not too much couch lock and not too much euphoric, right inbetween. gotta wait a day or 2 for the hash to completely dry out but i imagine that will be excellent.
