my second pair of leaves are comming
im on day 5 or 6
nice. my third set are coming in pretty good right now. im at 2 weeks tomorrow.

Do you plan on using any other nutrients? :leaf:
right now i havent started with my 7-7-7 nutrients, but i think ill probably start within a week or so. i will probably be getting some different nutes when it comes time for flowering. i read that you should have lower nitrogen in your nutes for flowering and to completely stop the nutes 2 weeks before grow. sound right?

Here's my plant after 2 weeks of growth and watering with a 24/0 light cycle and no nutes yet. Ive been having a fan blow on the plant as much as possible. How does the stem look? I was wondering if it was thick enough for two weeks. Anyways, let me know what you think.

Oh yea looks like they are coming along nicely. If you have a fan on them I think you should be just fine with the stem. Babies are still young and have a lot of growth ahead of them. Look into molasses idk just a thought to throw in some extra minerals. Dont know if you have come by this thread yet but it made me a believer. --->https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/186821-molasses-every-thing-u-need.html
Its crazy long but has some good info on it. I skimmed through most of the beginning. Make sure to rotate every couple of days so you get nice uniform growth.

How in the hell do u flush sorry im a noob
im pretty sure you just put a lot of water into the soil and sorta drench the plant but then you have to watch by holding it up and tilting it to one side to see that a lot of the water gets out and drains so that the plant doesnt get flooded for long. that could be completely wrong, so sorry if it is, but that is what i got out of one video i watched. could just be a little stoned and thinking things haha but i think thats what its about.

MY BABY GIRL I HOPE LOL:eyesmoke:
Hey man hows it going. Im new to growing with cfl's but everywhere i have read so far and with whats been going on with my plant so far is you need to have the light about 1 to 2'' from the plant. Side lighting of a cfl is the best lighting. Also your loosing alot of light by it being in an open area try to find a box to trap the light so its not being wasted. Also if you do find a box line it with some mylar works really good with reflecting light.

Nice job with the plant, like the other person said i dont seed alot of stretching but getting those lights closer will help with side growth. The more lights the better too.
Good job with the plant.

Heres some pictures of my cfl grow. shes been flowering for 3 weeks now. 10 cfls

the stretching has calmed down for me big time. the third set of leaves are starting to get more and more developed, and the stem is looking good. im thinking about getting another clamp light with some more cfls soon, and/or ill get some kind of hps light for when it gets bigger. im still looking for an adjustable table so i can just use clamp lights by hanging them on the clothes rack, and then id put some sort of reflective covering from the shelf above and staple it to the table. still looking though. +rep Argentino619

heres a question for everyone, should i transplant my plant into a nute free soil before i add other nutes? my plant is now 15 days into growth and it has been in some miracle grow soil(5-1-5 NPK). the nutes that i am going to use first is by miracle grow, its called african violet with a NPK of 7-7-7. i read a lot of places that the MG soil burns the plant eventually. so far it all looks to be ok, but just wanted to hear someone's opinion before i did something uncorrectable. oh, and when i do start the nutes im prob going to go at 1/4 strength first then gradually work my way up to being at full strength as the plant grows more.

Make sure to try to keep the plant in the same type of medium. Ex- miracle grow soil for seedling=miracle grow for veg thats just to be safe though. You can transplant into any medium but watch out for one medium drying out to fast due to drainage differences. That and they are just different in composition. When I transplanted into soil-less mix I watered thoroughly with a 1/4 strength nute which was a 7-4-10. But again soil-less mix and miracle grow are totally different.
With when to start on a feeding schedule I would say 3-4 weeks and start with 1/4str and work your way up week by week. (well that was what I was told by a experienced grower)

I would wait till you get a few more thoughts on this before anything.

One last tip make sure to transplant late in the light cycle and water again right before they go to sleep. Hope this helps

thanks for the advice. i dont really want to transplant my plant, but i just hear a lot of people saying how MG soil is so bad. if i leave it in the same soil(NPK 5-1-5) and add the nutes i have right now(NPK 7-7-7) in a week or so, will my plant be ok, or should i just transplant the plant into another MG soil that has different nutes? i tried to give you rep again, but i still need to spread some rep around. ill get you sooner or later haha.

Your plant has a long life ahead Id wait till the start of the 4th week. Its really up to you though. If you want to start them on a feeding schedule I would start at the 1/4str and go up from there. What size pot is the plant in right now?? I would think a 3-5gal would be ideal. I have mine girls in 2gal right now and they are about....well Im not to sure actually maybe like 2months. haha I will be transplanting soon into 5gal pots; which would be the container they will finish in. Hmm again with the soil Im not to sure since its my 1st grow and all. Ask around RIU. Put a few questions in the plant problems and if you want go to my thread and ask for some help through there I dont care. Sorry I couldnt help any more than that.

dont worry about the rep not a big deal as long as I get a good harvest!!

im not quite sure how many gallons the pot is. i think it said 10" or 12" when i bought it. its a pretty big pot, but i might transplant the one plant when it gets a little bigger, but i may just leave it in there. im not really sure. ill prob wait another week or two before i start with nutes, thanks.
