Thanks everyone! Yeah I still have that silly, self satisfied smile on my face, lol. I set out to learn to grow mj, and to have some quality product of my own making - and I feel I've accomplished both of my goals.
Still about a zillion things to learn, but hey - I know it's only getting better from here on out!
I did quick dry a small nug Saturday evening - couldn't help myself.
Cut it into small pieces, put it on a saucer on the heating plate for my coffee pot, turning gently every five minutes, for about half an hour.
For being fresh cut I gotta say - wow. One bowl had four of us high for almost 4 hours, no headache afterwards, just a pleasant, happy feeling for awhile. It really wasn't harsh either, save for a hit or two with a small piece of stem in it. So it should be pretty tasty once it's had a chance to dry and cure properly, eh?
Wanted to give you guys a weight today, but the buds, small though they are, are pretty dense - still too wet to jar.

The nugs look really good man. My first harvest was huge but smelled and tasted like shit so who fucking cares about weight. I would rather have 12gs of some good smoke than a QP of schwag. I think you did a great job.
FYI- Duct tape has yet another use.
For your next grow just use that HPS for the entire grow. You're on your way man.

Yeah I would use the HPS for veg, especially as I got the MH conversion bulbs for 'em, but I'm doing a perpetual grow, and I have a batch of Trainwreck going under in a little less than two weeks. Eventually I want to upgrade my flowering lights to 600w digital HPS and use those two 400w just for vegging. Have to wait until I can afford it, though.

I'd say just go with 1Kw HPS just get 1 at a time if you have to.

Burped and stirred my buds this morning, and now they have that typical sweet hay smell. That's perfectly normal right? Doesn't mean I jarred them too soon?

Well I had a DWC that wouldda finished aobut the same time but I got tired of it's limp ass so shes at the dump now LOL
Yeah they will smell odd in jars for a bit.
So long as they dont smell more like eggs, then that's mold, but hay is far from so your fine.
