My New Setup

Story- I ran about 6 different grows about 5 years back. I learned ALOT I mean ALOT. I read magazines, books, forums, everything for a couple years. And I had to stop. Only because of my housing situation. I knew everything I was doing wrong to get maximum yield, I just didn't have the resources to make it happen.

Well I finally decided to dedicate quite a few man hours and quite a bit of cash into what I think is an almost perfect setup. I hope to keep updating this thread as I go along. But hopefully you all feel compelled to provide insight as I gather all my knowledge and research and put it into this project.

What I did was buy an old TV Armoire for 50 bucks at a flea market. It was marked down bc the thing was so GD heavy nobody wanted to buy it. But I did. I bought a bunch of tools and supplies and I'm getting this together.

I always wanted to make sure I ran a stealthy yet effective grow. I knew that building a room into a cabinet is the best way to do that. So far, here is where I am.

400w HPS Daystar air cooled hood
400w Phantom digital ballast
4" Active carbon filter
240 CFM Inline fan
2 ACTIVE Floor mounted intakes
And a heavy ass cabinet

The cabinet looks pretty good I think your cabinet would be a good candidate for a scrog screen.

That 400 watt light might be too hot for that area but you could always do some test runs with it on and if it is to hot you can figure out the proper steps too dial in the temps before growing in it.

I will definitely be doing a scrog. to give you an idea. the inside of the ca is 4'x2' and 7 feet tall

You should be golden....I have a closet that is 4x2x8 and I run 400 with ducted hood and my inline fan is only 160 cfm pulling heat out and pushing it into my attic. My temps run about 3-4 degrees higher than ambient temps. SCROG will work great. I am down to 2 plants in that area (2'x3') and it fills it up well. That cab is def stealthy only issue will be with some noise coming from your fans....

Looks great! I personally would size up to a 6" inline fan. You can always put it on a controller but you can never get more air movement from the 4" if your needing it. Good Luck man she's looking pretty stealthy...

Looks good to me. I have a 2x3x5 tent 400w air cooled hood 4in 190cfm duct fan with a lot of bends and it is great no heat issues at all. I use an ultrasonic (fog) humidifler near the open flap on my tents, that drops canopy temps by about 4 degrees.

Thanks for the input! I'm thinking about it and you're right. I'm also thinking that a bigger line would reduce noise. I guess the 6" fans were out of my budget (now I wish I would have spent the extra 50 bucks lol!). I originally went with 4" to save space in the cab. The scrog grow will take up a lot of vertical space because I have to make room at the bottom for the watering system. I'll be doing soil. But you can't move scrog plants once they're tied into a screen. So I had to setup a table system with holes for watering and drip pans. I'll post those pictures and show you what that looks like soon!

It's really good to hear that. Temps were my main concern along with fan noise. Luckily I Foam sealed all of the cracks.inside the cab. I saw foam seeping out the back where I replaced the back panel. It filled all the cracks so I'm hoping that the seals will reduce the noise as much as possible. On a side note, those intake fans at the bottom of the cab MOVE SOME AIR. I mean it's like holding a hair dryer in front of your face on cool. And I have two of them. I'm hoping this will really solve my temp problems. I'll post more pictures once I have the vents installed.
