Hey guys, this is my 2nd ever outdoor grow in Australia. We just hit spring :) SO THIS MEANS IT'S PLANNING SEASON :) I have spent a few hours formilating my plan for this years GUERILLA GROW and I would just like some CRITICISM AND TIPS. I am going to begin the actual grow on November 14th and based on earlier this year the plants should be ready to harvest by April 14th. Giving me 5 months to grow some quality weed :)
SO yeah I will post pictures on this thread as I advance into the guerilla grow :)
Peace

-A variety of tools (knife, scissors, lighter, wire, line, bamboo sticks, bottles, tape, etc)
__________________________________________________________________________________________
Growing Techniques
-LST (Tie down) 2-4 weeks
-Super cropping (HST) (Pinch) 4-8 weeks
-Pruning 2 weeks in Flowering
-Topping (From experience from last year, topping was only essential if the main bud site
is surrounded by other sites that are at a disadvantage because of shadow introduced
by the taller branch) (Put a lot of thought into topping and if it will be an advantage)
__________________________________________________________________________________________
Different Phases of the grow
(Germination, Seedling, Vegetation, Flowering)
(Drying, Curing, Storing)

Germination - Distilled water in a glass. No more then 3 days in the water.
If more time is needed for the seeds to germ after 3 days has passed
then resort to the paper towel method.

Transition between Germination to Seedling -
*From experience in 2011*
- Take EXTREME care when tampering with the germed seeds
- DO NOT use bare skin when placing germed seeds in soil
- Be VERY careful when transporting the seedling to another location (especially if
the seedling is over 3cm tall)
- The rest is obvious, Use soiless mix, dont over water, watering intervals of 2-4 days

Seedling - REMEMBER! (Just because she is small does not mean she is not valuable)
- Be cautious when watering the seedling
- Do not expose her to excess heat/light
- Do not feed her until she has her 4th node (vegetative state)

Seedling - 4th node
- This is the stage where I must observe the plants thoroughly
- Find out at what pH they grow most rapidly (6.5 - 7)
- Observe for (Discolour in leaves, purple-green stem, slow growth)
- Spray water underneath the leaves for optimum water intake as the roots are still undeveloped

Vegetation
- Remain as constant as I can when Ferting the plants
- Water the plants approximantly twice a week
- If very hot days, water more frequently
- If very wet days, water less frequently'
- Use any growing techniques suitable for quicker and more productive growth
(Pruning, Topping, LST, HST)

Flowering
- Switch Ferting to one higher in Potassium and Lower in Nitrogen
- Observe each plant carefully at the beginning of flowering for any signs of male organs
- Observe buds and ensure that there is no bug infestation
- Use any growing techniques suitable for bigger bud growth and higher sun penetration
__________________________________________________________________________________________
THE FOLLOWING 3 STEPS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AND VITAL. MUST BE DONE PROPERLY

Drying (FROM EXPERIENCE IN 2011-12)
- Do NOT dry at home or attempt to dry near the house (very odourous)
- Dry in a box preferably at the grow op
- Dry underneath a shelter so box and bud dont get soaked if it rains
- Dry the bud for no less then a week, and no more then 2 weeks
- Dry until the bud appears very crispy
- Once dried, cut open the thickest, and the thinnest bud and compare the moisture inside

Curing
- Cure in mason jars
- be VERY cautious when curing the bud for the first time, observe it every hour
- while curing, once the bud becomes moist, simply open the jar and shuffle the bud around
- while curing, once the bud becomes crispy, simply close the jar again
- Repeat the curing process for at least 2 weeks, preferably over a month
- Cure behind the house, when jars are closed, preferably cure the jars in the ground
for security purposes
- When jars are open, cure somewhere EXTREMELY discrete with no possible way or chance
of somebody stumbling over them

Storing
- Once the bud has spent over a week in the mason jars without becoming moist, then i
know it is okay to store it (check on the bud every week or so for precautions)
- Store the bud in the mason jars somewhere EXTREMELY discrete (the ground)

__________________________________________________________________________________________
TIPS ON SECURITY
- Do not possess any more then 7 grams of personal bud at any time
- Do not take any unneccesarry risks that could potentially fuck everything up
- Dont trust anyone
- Dont enter the mind set that just because im around it so much that its cool to
talk to my friends and parents about it
- Dont give absolutely any hint to my parents that i am growing weed
- If i do give them ABSOLUTELY any hint that i am growing, they will assume i am
and fuck my shit up
- Always remain cool and calm and maintain a sense of understanding and reasonability
- Like done last year, dont tell anyone that i am growing ... ANYONE
- Dont involve anyone with helping me grow
- If i do run into any problems, solve them with thought
- DONT make immature decisions
- If caught blue (No Proof) handed, DENY DENY DENY. Caught red handed, take it like a man
__________________________________________________________________________________________
PREPARATION PLAN
1. Gather up all the required items essential for the op
2. Discretly hide away the items all together behind the house
3. Find a suitable op location
4. Bring all the required tools to the op
5. Prepare the op (dig holes, mix soil, etc)

ONCE THAT IS COMPLETE THAN COMES THE FUN PART (must be complete by 14/11/12)

1. Germinate seeds on or after (14/11/12)
2. Place seeds in peat moss pellets
3. Wait a few days until sprout (DONT BE IMPATIENT AND DIG THE SEED TO SEE IF ITS GROWING)
4. Plant sprout in prepared soiless mix
5. Place the seedlings discretly nearby and nurture them 3-4 times a week
6. Grow nearby for 2-3 weeks preferably until (6/12/12)
7. Discretly transport the plants to the prepared op
8. Either transplant to bigger pot or plant into nutritionally prepared ground
9. Preparation should be complete before (12/12/12)
10. Start the vegetation phase :) <-- THE EASY, CONSTANT PHASE
__________________________________________________________________________________________
SUITABLE location to run the op
- First and most important, IT MUST OFFER SECURITY
- High enough trees and bush to hide the plants while still maintaining a lot of sunlight
- As far away as possible from any signs of life
(vision,noise,houses,paths,roads,dirttracks,hikers,hunters,farmers,attractions)
- The least suspicious place where someone would intentionally go searching for plants
- As close as possbile to a clean water source without attracting mossys and other pests
- The harder it is to get to, the less likely someone will find the plants
- limited insects and bugs ESPECIALLY ants.. Grrrr
__________________________________________________________________________________________
SUITABLE way in which to run the op
- Maintain naturalness of the surroundings
- Dispose of any rubbish discretly
- Discretly put away any tools in which i need in order to run the op (under ground)
- Spread plants out and make them look natural
- Ultimantly, make the grow look AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE
__________________________________________________________________________________________
IF THE GROW IS TO BE SUCCESSFUL I MUST:
- Maintain self control!
- Think things through
- Maintain my interest in school, gym, family, friends and other hobbys!
- Do NOT obssess about weed
- Dont plan to much, to much planning will fuck with my head (already broke this rule)
- Dont break any more rules!!
- Keep quiet
- Maintain my personality
- Maintain my innocence
- Maintain my happiness
- Maintain control of anxiety and paranoia
- Just be cool around my family, be awesome around my friends, and be me around myself :)
- And remember! "Whatever"

Sounds good but theres a couple of crucial things you left out bro. 1- only prepare patch and visit at dawn 2- you MUST have a chicken wire fence wrapped around poles or trees and tied to another length of wire wrapping around the top ,also pegged down with logs 3- you already mentioned it but show NO ONE and no growing partners. If you dont follow these 3 tips i doubt you'll have anything to dry/cure.
Just think when that strong fence is built that pen is yours and no roos are coming in and you wont be nervous all season.

Also the chances of someone stumbling onto your patch just wandering thru is about 1000-1 so no need to go right in its just harder for you to tend to them. If ripoffs spot your car chances are certain they will find it thats why you only go at dawn, trail bike riders ,walkers ,mountain bikers,,ripoffs, other growers are about especially after 3pm ,dont visit at this time .

Thanks for the tips buds, ill be sure to tend to them at dawn. The wiring is definitely a good idea as where I'm growing is known to be home to a lot of kangaroos, the only worry I have about chicken wire is that it does not blend and is very easy spot. I was planning on planting the plants in places that are very hard or would be very awkward for kangaroos to stand in or jump through
Is that a good idea? Or should I risk someone spotting the chicken wire

No shit I'm very excited haha!
But I also like to plan ahead and get my head set for the effort and determination needed with guerilla growin

Absolutely loved reading this thread, I can tell we think quite alike. Especially the parts stating to keep self-control in all aspects of your life.

"If caught blue (No Proof) handed, DENY DENY DENY. Caught red handed, take it like a man"

Can't exactly say I agree with that one though, I think you should revert back to "If i do run into any problems, solve them with thought" in that scenario.
Other than that mate, it's been inspiring reading so far and I can feel your excitement just through words. Keep us updated :)

this is cool man....we'll have a grow to watch while we're all harvesting and freezing our asses off. My only dumb question is....do Kangaroos like to eat weed??

Ags

I'd assume that they eat anything green, so yeah. But as a precaution i'm either going to fence off the plants or grow somewhere where there is no kangaroos.. i've found a few great spots w/o kangaroos jumpin around so i'll decide soon enough :)

I've heard of many occasions where roo's have eaten plants before, quite sad.... but people should have been prepared.

I suggest you get some chicken wire for fencing.
