Thanks for stopping by Hulkster. The seedling stage is where the slowest growth occurs once they get their sets with 5 leafs they start to take off. Go easy on them less is more, keep it a state of mind and everything will grow green. Also I found only checking on them twice a day helps you to notice more growth, and it also keeps you from messing with the plants to much and cause unneeded stress. Hope everything goes well for you in your grow Hulkster. Stay tuned the best is still to come.

UPDATE:

Day 28/21. Aight guys today is 4 weeks from sprout and 3 weeks from turning lights back. I'm seeing multiple calyxe (sp) formation. No hairs yet but I'm sure within the next couple days one will poke a pair of hairs out. The GWS was ready for a drink of water, so I gave her her first dose of flower nutes. Same mix as the other two got. I'm going to upload pics from day 14 of all plants to compare growth rates in two weeks of 12/12. Hope you enjoy.

Ya I was thinking about it. I have to finish it first though. Everything will come in time working on a budget right now. I just got done getting fully setting up my HID system and now I can't even use it for MJ. So its gonna be a slow process again. Probably gonna use the cfls a couple runs and then try and get a 150w hps atleast. The yeild difference is just soooooo much bigger.

Hey mammath what do you think about cutting those two stretched out shoots on the GWS. I don't want christmas trees, I would rether have lollipops. Much less I don't want to run out of room or have to add many more lights.

I'm not quite sure which shoots you are talking about.
If you mean the bottom branches that look quite thick shooting up, I would leave them. Those strong bottom branches could end up as nice big buds.
You can usually tell how big your buds are going to be by the thickness of the stem that's going to support them.

Alright bro sounds good I'll leave them. I think the mylar will help keep the bottoms light a bit more. When I get the other two fans I'll probably be playing with the idea to add more lights. I was thinking of mixing the spectrum up a little bit what do you think about that?

Well to be honest I know as much about CFL lighting as I do about knitting.
Spectrum wise it is good to have a balance but more so leaning towards the red and yellow ends of the spectrum for flowering. Blue is still important during flowering to keep buds compact and control stretching.
In your situation, with height restrictions, it probably wouldn't hurt to have some blue in there to keep things a little more compact. maybe a 70/30 mix would be good.

Thats what I was thinking. I'm more than likely going to. Maybe one blue on each. I don't know how I'm gonna supplment the blue on the haze. That big 3000k will weigh the y splitter down. I've been playing with the idea of replacing the lights over the GWS and Gigabud with 50w 2700k bulbs. I don't know about the 6500k's. Maybe next grow and I'll see how they do. For right now I'm focusing on dialing this setup in.

yea i have the ssame prob my 85 watt is weighin my 27 andd 42 watts i tried using a cord and tape but that end up falling off and burning one of my branches so now i just let it hang

the cfls are 2-3 inches aways ( i move them about 2 inches everyday) and the 70 HPS is 5 inches away since it doesnt get too hot

Your good man. I was thinking about doing a 70w set up but for the same price at home depot I could get a 150w off the internet plus shipping, so plus twenty bucks. It'll probably be next grow when I get the 150. I think I'm just gonna stick with all one spectrum throughout the grow.

UPDATE:

Day number 29/21/1. As you can see I added the third number in there tonight. All plants showed me their goods lol. Everyone has tiny tiny tiny pistils sticking out. The ph of my water is a lil high but I caught it in time. Soil ph is sitting at 7. I'm gonna lower to about 6.5. GWS is stretching like a mother fucker. She is almost as tall as the Haze plant now. Haze plant is starting to grow alternating leaves so she is peaking maturity. Temps staying at 82 with lights on. Currently I have no way of checking temps with lights off but it should be pretty low in there. I keep the ac on during the day (that florida heat) and the dresser is in a closet so it should be staying pretty chilly in there. Everything is looking really good. I'm getting a water filter for my faucet water in the next week. Other than that there isn't much new.

What up tile? Ok as for HID. I have been living at another house for a good while. Recentely we lost the house and had to move right away (long story that you probably don't wanna know) . Anyways me and my fiance had no where to go for a couple days. My mother has a bunch of rental houses, one of them happened to come open a couple days after we had to move out. She said I could stay in the house that just came open and pay rent and what not blah blah blah. Ok here is the point of the story. When I moved I still had 5 full size plants going. My mother came to help me get some stuff and saw everything including plants. She told me NO GROWING absolutley. I thought about it for a couple weeks and was like FUCK THAT I can pull this off easy as cake. I set up the HID in a closet that can be seen with all my legal plants, tomatoes, chili, vegtables and shit like that. My mother is 60 something so I was pretty sure she wasn't going to be climbing up the attic for any reason lol. The fan I was using for the rubbermaid box was WAY to loud so I thought up the dresser idea. wow that was alot lol. Hope this explains everything. I should be moving to colorado in the next year so I'll be using the HID very very very soon. Till then I'll just do some runs with cfls just for fun and free smoke.

I vegged the three for one week and then turned lights back. I just starting getting preflowers yesterday so about three weeks from turning lights back all three started flowering.

Sorry to hear that you had a couple rough days bro. That sounded like a really tough time. I was happy reading you got another place lol. I dont even know u!!! :bigjoint:. As far as the plants...wow, if my parents were to come in my house and see it..they would cut my persian head off and feed me to goats/chickens in their backyard. And Colorado......cant wait to move there too!
