Plants look really good man...healthy n happy...on the taller one I would go ahead n snip those bottom leaves next to soil...the single blade ones...n maybe the set above those too...it just cleans up things n they'll be outta ur way when watering...youll prolly wanna get in the practice of different training techniques like lollipopping n defoliation n LST etc etc...growing in a small space n all

Thanks dude, yeah I am relieved everything seems to be working out all right so far. I thinm go ahead with your advice and start snipping, but I've been quite nervous about the whole training endeavour.

Their looking pretty good I think. I levelled out another nitrogen deficiency over the last couple of days. Exactly 6 and 4 weeks old today.

They do look good...lookin real Sativa'ish...which will be a concern come flower time considering ur height restrictions...i say 12/12 em now but thats jus my opinion i 12/12 plants from seed often n they still end up 3feet tall before its over with...

so where'd the fungi come from...ha

Thanks for the advice, I agree with you. I think its time to switch to 12/12 due to my space constraints. Before I do that, I am strongly considering topping or fim'ing first, give it another week and then switching to flowering. What do you think?

Those shrooms probably came from the garden potting soil remains in my mix

If your gonna top i would top now n then wait a week before the flip...or not...dont really think it would make too big of a difference either way, prolly will get same results...topping is gonna help your height situation...after the flip itll still be a couple weeks or more before you notice any changes in those plants as far as flowering...topping will slow the growth in height for a moment n then theyll start taking off again...the choice is yours really but in my opinon I think youll get pretty much same results whichever way you decide to go...once they go into flowering mode they're gonna stretch for abt 3weeks or even more before they stop growing in height completely...strain depending

Its been 10days...i was hoping for an update... Interesting little grow goin on here
Hey man! I've been a bit swamped over the last week so didn't get a chance to post, but I took many photos. I decided to go ahead with the topping, since to me, this project is all about experimenting and getting a feel for the plants. So just after my last post, I topped the older one just on the 6th node. I tried to clone the top with some rooting hormone, but I don't have the right kit and environment to do that properly, the clone is still alive but struggling (It barely has 3 nodes) . The little one, I fimmed out of curiousity on the 7th node just because I wasn't sure if I'll need to top it in case of a failed fim. Within a week the larger one looked amazing and well recovered with two main colas almost as long as the rest of the plant. The fimmed plant was a bit strange, it actually seemed like the main cola kept growing, so I assumed I must have actually missed the fim and the main cola and just nibbed its leaves, so I went ahead and topped the little lass as well (I can't believe I actually managed to miss a fim! ) .

I've been doing loads of foliar feeding, every day, some times more and it looks to be working well. After topping the younger plant, three days later, I switched to flowering 12/12, which was a couple of hours ago. So its been one and a half weeks since topping the older one. Here are the latest pics:

I still can't tell the sex of the older plant yet;

but the younger plant appears to be a female, already preflowering (a week ago:

I'll post some before and after shots of the topping/fimming in the next post...
