Need advice on good Durban Poison and Blueberry Genetics

Hello growers,

I'm looking for Durban Poison and Blueberry seeds for my first grow (not USA). Can you please advise me which place is the best place for those? I'd like to get something as close as possible to what I've been enjoying in Oakland California last year.

Thank you.

Cannabiogen sells pure Durban landrace. Blueberry I'm not so sure. Best I've grown was Blueberry Jam by Dr.Atomic seeds

Not sure about the Durban, but DJ Short Blueberry is pretty much the blueberry staple for breeding (so I've heard from so many sources). The strongest blueberry I've ever had was one I grew from Oasis Genetics called BerryBlue. You can get Oasis gear from True North Seed Bank in Ontario. I used this blueberry for my blue cheese cross and it hasn't disappointed.

Hazeman has good Durban Poison beans. No one sells pure Durban Poison (including Cannabiogen), as pretty much everything is derived from old SSSC and Sensi stock, which was never released except as a hybrid or backcross. Of all the Blueberry strains I've tried (including DJ's and Dutch Passion), the best for pure Blueberry was Joey Weed... but the best berry strain overall was Professor P's Mt. Hood Huckleberry.

Then they must be false advertising

"This an original high quality South African line. Fourth generation strain finishing in 10 to 14 weeks with vibrant greens and pungent purples. Her fine complex aromas peak at harvest and are refined through the curing process. Cannabiogen has selected plants that are sexually stable, however as with many pure landrace strains careful observation for intersexing is recommended."

That's CBG product description.

Pretty much all seed descriptions are embellishments. That's always been the case. No pure African sativa will ever even sniff finishing at 10 weeks. If they do sometimes go 14, they're probably a lot less hybridized than most offerings. Most of the Dutch companies' Durbans only go 9-10 weeks on average.

...and there has always been speculation that landrace DP was a hybrid to begin with, but the truth or falsehood of that has been lost with the sands of time and scores of dishonest seed company descriptions.

That dj blueberry is long gone, except in clone form. If you buy seeds from dj or jd looking for blueberry you will most likely be disappointed.

Personally, I find Dutch Passion's better than DJ's... at least the stuff he was putting out 7 years or so ago. Seems like he had bred all the flavor out of his lines and Dutch Passion's still had it. Either way, the Joey Weed Blueberry (made from old DJ stock) blew them both away on potency and bag appeal and had just as much blueberry flavor as Dutch Passion's. Cost a lot less than either one of those too.

Eskobar tried to start up a Blueberry project from old DJ stock awhile back, before he got out of breeding altogether. He sent me 3 different phenos. What I found was a buch of leggy, larfy, stretchy hermies. There were a couple of decent plants among the 30 or so I popped but none I would call a permanent keeper... and you just had to sort through so much rope to find it. I know a few people over on Opengrow came up with winners from those beans but, again, they had to dig through a lot of trash to find them.

I've grown Sensi Durban and it's damn good. It's not 100% sativa though. It's got some indica bred into it to shorten the flower time. Still a good strain to grow.
When did you grow them? I just purchased a few of these couple months back but read they were not original stock. Bought Serious' Kali Mist which read the same actually that its as good as it was originally.

Eskobar got out of breeding? I haven't visited Opengrow in a couple years at least but i always thought he was solid.

Kali Mist hasn't been the same since the original release. Serious lost all their original parents in a police raid in, I think, '99.

Yeah, that sucks. Heard it was a nice spicy pepper taste but not anymore. I'm fairly young so definitely did not enjoy good 90s stuff but try to find some of the good things. For example i love HSO's Blue Dream. I know it's not EXACTLY like the SC clone only cut, but I've never had that to compare so hate when people put it down cause i like it personally. Clones are not available to me and im East coast so even the best stuff is probably not around alot here. Hope that the Durban and Kali is somewhat enjoyable anyways.

Oh it's been awhile since I first grew the Durban. I grew it and liked it then decided to use it for a breeding project. I just recently harvested F3 seeds of a Durban/Pakistani Chitral Kush cross I'm working on. So it's been awhile. Somewhere around two years or more from the first Durban I grew.
