I harvested my first batch of Pontiac red potatoes yesterday - grown in 4 medium(ish) wallyworld totes & my own soil mix - got 5 gallon bucket plus of beautiful spuds!
I'm stoked, selected 24 (6 per tote) with nice eyes for a second planting, fingers crossed I can get a second harvest.

I don't know what it is around here but we haven't been successful in growing potatoes. Might be the heat I guess.

We're in the heat zone as well - lotsa days in the triple digits.
