New Grower here!

Howdy y’all!

So I’m a newbie but I’ll give you a little backstory on my very minimal experience with growing the ganj. About 10 years ago, I bought some Dutch Passion Blueberry seeds online through Attitude Seedbank (don’t know if they’re still a thing) long story short, we had about 19 pups that grew over 5ft tall. Yielded about a pound of material that wasn’t worth a donkey’s ass.

Now I have a shot at growing and I’ve been doing research on Bubbleponics. I love the setup and yield but my question is this. I’m going to be working with a 5’x5’ tent for flowering. How can I efficiently utilize about 20sq.ft. of that area for the girls? Do I really have to use x5 Sterilite bins all with their individual water pumps, air pumps/stones, and precipitators? I feel like there has to be something a little more streamlined. My goal is to clone off the mom, root and veg for <2 weeks and go straight into flower. Hoping to get 30-40 little ones into the 20sq.ft. space I will allot in the tent.

P.s. for convenience and yield, CMH, HPS, or LED?

Thanks for all your help, guys!

Money is limited to under $5k preferably $3k Max for starters. It’s only a 5’x5’ flowering tent for now. If I can get good results in that space I’ll be looking to move into a bigger area. Just don’t wanna foot that bill from the start if I’m not even sure I can produce a top shelf product.

Here’s my 5x5. Was done on the cheap. 4 pails flexible 1 1/4” flex drain line running to a tote outside 27g. I found a large air pump 70l/m for cheap and it’s quiet. So I run an air stone in ea and my extra air goes to my veg room. Pump is 300 gph runs 3/8 feeder lines to ea site from the res so any leaks drip into res.
600 HPS. For the light. Air pump and light were used. So I spent in total about $850.
As said above 6” pipe with caps on ea end for sea of green would be cheap.Go around new home build sites there’s probably some laying around.simple water at one end drains out the other. Hydroponics can be done quite cheaply if your creative.

Not sure if you meant to attach a photo, but there’s nothing here mate. Unless you were just explaining the setup?

Actually after reading your post again what you want is ebb and flow. You can get a 4x4 tray in your room. Again pretty cheaply and very easy to run.

Curious what kind of yields you’re getting with your setup? You essentially have the same space and wattage I’m going for.

Aside from yield, what type of light are you using at 600W?

What kind of timeframe are you getting from beginning of veg to harvest?

Are you starting that timer from clones or from seedlings?

I know strains vary so definitely mention what the official flowering time should have been so I can deduct from overall time.

A lot of questions, I know. You’ve been a tremendous help and this is getting me one step closer to deciding on my setup!

For some reason I cant load a pic,I use about 20 sq/ft of my room.It fills up quick as I tend to veg too long.I start clones right when i flower so turn around is 10~12 weeks.I hang dry in my room since I can control the smell better.Yield is around a gram/watt.My 600 can get warm pending on time of year, normally dont grow in the summer months.I dont have A/C.
Hope this helps,Im more of a hobby grower so I dont push the time lines.Plenty of others here that do more then I.
Look into the flood and drain systems if you want to do 20 plants.

Or.... not sure if it can be done with vented hoods. 2 x600. Would need AC I’d think. Possibilities are end less. Good luck.

@myke

just a little update since you gave me so much info. Even though I was on a budget, the very minimal setup I have was still far more expensive than I presumed. I’m about $2k deep and still no flowering tent, just the veg setup. This is day 23 since germination.

2K? Think my veg corner is pushing 200 with the light.
