How close to the plants is the light? Thats a very weak light. If they are seedlings you shouldnt be feeding them nutrients yet. And water PH is CRITICAL. Get a ph pen and a ph adjuster.

That light is actually a 63 watt light. You need to do major research on lights if you think that will grow 4 plants. You need a good 80w per plant as a general rule of thumb. Maybe think about something like this

Actually, the size of light is determined by the square footage of the area of the grow, not by the number of plants. I've done a perpetual in a 2x4x5' tent that had 24 small plants in it at one time.

So, it's wiser to ask what size of tent the plants will be grown in.

Dudes got 4 plants.... He needs more than that.
Depends on the size of his tent and budget. That 150hps is gonna throw a hell of a lot more light than his current LED, with a minimal cost upgrade.

I grow under a 150w HPS in a 2x3 tent right now. 4 plants can pull 3/4 of a lb with proper training and a full/even scrog.

I plan on upgrading because the 150w is hot as hell, and can be outperformed with less heat by a 260w HLG 648... but it's still a viable option on a budget, if your just growing for personal use.

What is the size of your tent, and what kind of ventilation do you have available to you?

Also, everyone loves pics :)

Idk why anyone would want to do more plants than they have to. I always figure 4 plants is at least a 3x3 or 4x4. 4 Autoflowers should fill up a 3x3. I wouldnt consider using any less than a 315w cmh for 4 plants.

People grow different numbers of plants for many reasons. Sometimes I'm on a good breeding run, so I need as many going as I can for selection. Some people don't have much height, so it makes a lot of sense to grow as many small plants as possible. Sometimes I've wanted to harvest several strains at once as a "variety run", so I'll stuff in a bunch of plants just for that reason.

I've over stuffed tents many times in the past, with average results to having fewer, but larger plants.

Now I much prefer to have a smaller number of plants, but much larger in size. Since I harvest every five weeks, it gets tedious trimming more than 2-4 plants at a time, so other than my "experiments and breeding" tents, I'm weaning down to four plants in my 4x4' production tent, harvesting two every five weeks. Less plants also makes for easier maintenance, and it's far easier to turn the plants so that none of the plants have permanently shaded areas.

Not sure how far down it's just at the full length rn, I have a ph meter but I think I messed it up trying to calibrate it when I put it in normal water it's zero or it's a random member then slowly drops back to zero

The Sunsystem 150W HPS for $77 would be perfect for a 2x2 as long as you can vent air properly. If I was him i would have just done two plants... one of each strain. 4 foot is really short for flowering...

I only did 4 cause I thought 2 Cp died but I brought them back to life with the sandwich bag method and now they get a chance to grow
