even tho be a high ppm in soil , and being organic , won’t hurt the seedling as one thinks … I had soil at 2000 ppms and no I’ll affect , I just tea or herc till the ppm drops …l not as much as ppm it’s your ph is inline …
That is pretty wild. How far could one take this? Let’s say you have seedlings about to transplant like 7L!fTeD24 does. How much would you mixing into 5 gallons?

another question is: if I’m amending my old #4 soil, do I really need to add any other meals or amendments? It seems like one shot really covered everything. I know biochar is recommended to add to the soil once in its whole life. So I’ll be buying that soon.

I amend all of my soil after each grow , this is what I use , biochar , one shot , bokashia , EWC … I add 1/2 cup of each to a 5 gallon bin and let cook for at least 30 days before using . Top dressing one shot and scratch in before watering , then when you do water will start to break it down …

Yup imo ph is really what matters. Sometimes when I slurry I only look at the ph because I have a cheap $20 tds meter that I have no idea if it's on point or not. I have five cheap TDS meters and they all give me different readings so... But as long as your pH is in line it's up taking nutrients and that's what really matters as long as your ppm's aren't crazy low or high.

You can even keep recycling that soil and that's just already loaded and living. Even though at the end of a cycle we're flushing a little bit the soil still has a lot more in it than when it came out of the bag because we're really not using a high volume of water with our flushes we're just saturating the soil not flushing everything out the bottom of the pot.Imo

for four plants I feel like you have enough light like bubba is hinting at. That is unless you’re running C02. I would keep them in a 4x2ft or 5x2 area.
If you really want another led running I would throw another light with similar specs (for hanging height uniformity) and run it in a 6x2 area.
Another route you can go is supplemental light bars. I’ve seen companies like hlg sell supplemental/propagation bars.

Are you in a tent? If you’re in a open room you maybe could save some money and just use some walls to bounce the light. It’s wild how much light you gain with optimizing your space.
I'm going to do what I did last time if you look at some of my earlier pictures you'll see I had the three lights in a row but just two plants under them. I use my 3 x 3 tent and open it up halfway so the door and the wall of the tent that are reflective mylar go along the wall and then I'm going to build a little frame out of PVC pipe and box the front of it in with mylar. Basically going to have to build an addition onto my tent because I want to buy another light and eventually just want to convert the whole room into a grow room when I get enough lights to cover the ceiling. I may end up just painting the entire room flat white and not use any tents at all and like you said line them up against the wall and use the wall for reflection. I also agree that I'm going to buy a light similar to my Mars Hydro FC E3000. All the new lights like this are pretty much the same they all have the Samsung diodes. I was thinking about getting the same light but I kind of wanted to do a side by side comparison but I feel like that lights the best bang for your buck. It's between net and spider farmer.

Sweet! I had a few recipes for amending the soil but I want to keep it simple so this is perfect. I only need to get some biochar. Is all biochar the same or are some brands superior? The same question with bokashi. I see all these pricey brands but then I see terraganix selling 5gallon containers on Amazon. I picked up a 5lb bag of it and I’ve been enjoying it. Threw a quarter cup or so on top of my soil and it really helped break down that gum layer. Can’t wait to mix it into the whole soil next. I also have been enjoying the whole bokashi composting process. I’m just throwing all my house hold food waste into 5 gallon buckets and layers with bokashi. Not throwing away wasted food is really satisfying for me. I don’t feel as guilty since Its going straight back into the garden. I have a tumbler composter but I don’t like it very much.

I just looked for it and I see what you’re up too. Id probably go with another bar style and match it.
I’m in the same boat, I’m planning out a build for a small section of my garage. I need A/C because these random socal heat waves destroy crops. It’s a bit over whelming designing and building a room.

I wonder if you could just smash two tents together and call it a day. Maybe bust out a needle and thread And sow it together.

Ya probably gonna go with the same light fc3000. Came to a conclusion. I feel like tent growing is good for concealment but the room it's in is small enough to turn the whole thing into a grow room. I'm gonna paint all the walls flat white or hang mylar. Not yet though too soon not enough lights. I'm gonna buy a light before each grow until the ceilings filled. I have about 15'x15'.

I’m not going to stress about it then. Probably minimal difference. I’m sure freshness of the bag of bokashi is more important that anything.

I’m just going to buy the first bag of biochar I find move on!
Best to spend the $150 at OCG and get free shipping. Only thing that sucks is there's no free shipping on #4 soil. I drove 30 min from my house to get it. Just wanted everything nectar. Last time I used coco loco. Plus everything at ocg Is fresh, when you get it elsewhere who knows how long it's been sitting.

Another thing folks is pesticides or what ever else is used … yes you can tell between clean or not clean cannabis , the high is cleaner … what you and we are doing is better then most dispensarys …. Nectar and cultured are my go too.. … So if you guys can’t get nectar soil or organic 707 and only can get FF , remember to ph and ppm the bag 1st and if ph is low and ppms are high you want to do some maintenance and flush it till the #s are in line of using nectar …. Yes it’s a little work but make your life easier thru a grow …
Mercenary by cultured has been my go to. I use it as a prevention and never saw a bug, it actually smells really good so I usually have a bottle mixed up and spray it all around my grow room and tent walls during flowering.

With my LEDs I’m watering every day … that’s only 400 watt each tent .
Hmm. Is 800 watts of led lighting enough for 4 plants in 5 gallon pots? I'm thinking of building a 3'x6' or 3'x8' scrog. I'd rather have one that's too big than too small. There'll be Reflective material on all four sides. What do you think? I feel like I may have to shorten my veg time or add more light in flowering. What I'm really trying to figure out is how to best utilize my lights for growing 4 plants and What style of growing to do.

I’m in a 4x4 tent with 2 in 5 gallon and one in 7 gallons …. I do 4 all Day but smaller … a month is a good veg time … these here are just veg to long ..lol…I think 800 is good enough . B0952B76-66BA-4E13-9282-4848EB597D3E.jpeg

If all else fails and it's not enough light I'll throw in my 400 watt hps during flowering ill just hang it up high above all the plants. Since I'm not going to be in a tent my ceilings about seven feet high

This "Green Crack" plant needed a home so I took it in. Transplanted to a 3 gallon pot and watered with Bigfoot and Dr Root and tied some branches down to open it up. Before now it was in Coco. I want to throw it into flowering in about a week or so because the four plants I have growing are going to need the lights. So I'm wondering where I should start with the nutrients? It's in number for soil amended with one shot. I know it's a clone but I'm really not sure how old it is it's about waist high. Also I'm not sure what type of nutrients he was using I wonder if I should do a flush also? I. Editing this because i found in the Bible Scott recommending a herc flush for a similar situation. Probably 2 Tbl of herc ph'd to 6.4 a couple waterings.

Start with a “ herc flush “ if any salts where used be safe to go that route and do a late veg feed , then start with your flower feed … see how she looks at 2 weeks then if all good do a flip.
