No fan no problem

Don't have a fan and your plants are getting hot? Don't worry I figured out an easy DIY fan that dropped my box from 35 to 28 celcius, the only thing you need is an old DVD player, rip the top off grab the little motor that spins the DVD wire straight to a 12 volt power supply, I cut wings out of a tin can and glued them straight on, tapped it to a plastic rod and installed it into my grow box

A waste of a perfectly good $30 dvd player instead of buying a $5 fan. Lol smh

I wouldn't count on some tape and glue and whatever that is with my plants. Dude fans are pretty inexpensive, seems like a waste of time and energy to me.

Actually the only store here that has fans have them for 35$ +15 for the power cord, online postage takes to long when your plants are dieing, this is just an idea go hate somewhere else

Yeah, if you're in a pinch, sure. But I would definitely start looking for a proper fan asap. Not hating, just saying.

while it may seem a bit wasteful to some of us it did nevertheless solve his IMMEDIATE problem of cooling his grow space. Give the dude a break, huh?

It's also just about as immediate a solution to grab that old PC tower lying around in most people's garages or at the recycle drop bin and snag that 12v cooling fan that will last and perform far better. I always have a few spares lying around for future projects. Super cheap or free, tiny, quiet and efficient for their size, can't beat 'em.

yeah the old pc fan is always reliable but still...you gotta admire the ingenuity.

Also (cannot believe I didn't realise this) when I removed my air pump from the actual grow box temperatures dropped another 4 degrees celcius

as the op stated fans in his area are $35+ and online postage takes to long so this is a temp fix for others who are short of $$ and in need of instant help until they can get a proper fan
