Hey RIU I'm getting ready to buy seeds and am wondering of the strains I listed which is the best I was thinking NL but am wondering is it low yielder compared to the other, how about potency? Finally, any other recommendations for strains with amazing buds matched with a super heavy yield?
Northern Lights, big bud, or critical mass, for both potency and yield?

Try a critical cross by Delicious. The Critical Jack is a huge yielder of primo smoke. It's probably my favorite, for a combination of being extremely pleasurable to smoke (tastes incredible), big yields and an excellent buzz. It flowers in 9-10 weeks.

On the first part of your question, you need to consider that at this point there are probably 10+ commercially available things called "Northern lights" and at least several "Big buds", and they are NOT all the same thing (let alone the same quality). There is reason to be selective about WHOSE NL, etc, you grow.
From most to least potent: Northern lights, Critical Mass, Big Bud. Reverse that order for yield.

I may get that I heard a lot about delicious seeds! Crosses with jack always produce dank!
As for nl I was looking at mr nice, nirvana and another company I can't recall right now

I popped 3 Big bud x white widow not sure by who green and tan pack i believe. Nothing ever really tasted that great (no wonder with parents that taste so amazing lol) but they all grew strong and BIG heavy bud, pretty strong smoke tho would've been good for concentrates i bet.
