I've seen a few MMA based threads geared towards the ULTIMATE FIGHTING
CHAMPIONSHIPS promotion. While at present time it is the Preeminent promotion. It is just the tip of the iceberg. From Shooto to Dream. WEC to EliteXC ,and the newly formed Affliction Promotion. There is a world of great fighters, Intriguing story lines, and hardcore rivalries. Through this thread i'd like to Post upcoming scheduled fights/Fighter bio's, and if the mods allow posting Fight vids for you guys to check out.

Also check out MMASCRAPS.COM. Im not a spammer nor do I have any affiliation with the website. It's just a great site with up to date vids and interviews in the world of Mixed Martial Arts.

I just read in business week, that 2 of the main promotions are running out of money and might fold by the end of the year, but they didn't say who. Is that show "tapout" any good? I have seen about 10 minutes of it and I thought the hosts or whatever they are were kind of lame. Does Pride even exist anymore? I used to download them but I haven't seen anything. Thanks for the thread, I have been following off and on since the early 90's

Pride folded in 2006 and was purchased by the Parent company of the UFC(ZUFFA). The UFC acquired all images pertaining to pride, and subsequently fired all the employees. There is a promotion now called DREAM. That has taken over the role of major org in Japan. But it needs alot of work before it's back to it's previous level. TAPOUT is ridiculous.
If they got rid of the cheesy outfits the show would be somewhat credible.
IFL is going out of business, and they're pegging affliction to fold as well because they lost considerable money on their last show. The UFC has such a tight hold on the north american market that it's hard for other orgs to get off the ground. I do wish for more competition. Simply because everyone wins.

I don't think it will get that far. Bisping has great head/feet movement, but I think he'll end up brawling with leben which will result in a stoppage.

You should go. I used to train before I got married, and never got back into it. It's a nice gym in my area...Im thinking of signing up. Go Mixed Martial Arts Directory at FightResource.com and you can search for a gym in your area.

The tapout guys have been around forever, way before UFC blew up, and yes they have always dressed like that. They are actually special characters in the tapout game. I saw them at a fight i went to hanging out afterwards, they look pretty lame, but you probably wouldnt mess with them
