Hope everyone is staying warm in this bipolar weather. Had a few mishaps over the holidays. Not sure why, but Christmas is hard for me, and my girls suffered. Fried 3 lost one's harvest to mold, had a beautiful 8 week old BOY! Cutting him left a sizeable hole in my flower tent. Worked through it all (there's more) and I have a Red Hot Cookies somewhere around the 5 week mark and she is stunning

Sorry to hear about that. But!, you got a good one there!. ..... It was around 70 degrees here today, I was out splitting firewood shirtless, but by this time Thurs, it's gonna be -15 wind chill, and about 7 degrees. Oklahoma.... Geez. When it gets this cold, it just pisses me off. You can't really do anything when it's that cold. I'll bag up some shorts, and flip flops and go stay in the grow all day where it's 83 degrees and 60% RH. Put on some Jimmy Buffet and pretend Im somewhere else.

One of the silver linings from some of the "(there's more)" category, I get to avoid being out working in this cold ! Lots of time spent at home when you injure your right leg and can't drive!

That’s sounds like a helluva plan. A margarita would go good in that plan I’d be more into a Maui mule myself, kinda sucks the law don’t allow a decent refreshment inside the grow though

I wasn't aware of that.
Yeah... it's a big problem here. They are setting up 60 to 100, 60x100ft hoop house ops, and workers are basically slaves. They get dumplings handed to them every now and then during thier 16 hour shift, and then they sleep on the floor, sometimes dirt floors, and sometimes being trafficked. It's a sad situation. The only reason that this is happening here is that licenses are so cheap, and no canopy limits. You can grow 15 million plants for $2500 a year fee. (basically no limits),.. so, every Asian flocked into Oklahoma for a chance at exporting intra State or International for cheap. All's they have to do is find a 5 year OK resident, and pay them off. Property, land, etc. Properties with some acreage that used to go for $250K are bringing 1-2 million..... We are seeing this declining in the past couple of months, but it's been a real monkey wrench in our legal system of Cannabis. We see busts weekly. OK has about 8600 growers, down from 9800ish from 2021, but we have more growers than any other State. IL has only 17 growers for thier State. So...as you can see, this is the Wild West of Cannabis for the time being. Wholesale in IL is about $5000 a lb, and right now, you're lucky to get $1000 for pure fire here in OK (indoor)..... $150 a lb for outdoor.

Yeah things have gotten crazy in legal states. Illegal grows are everywhere and nobody apparently has the resources to monitor things. Same thing here in Oregon except it's entities from south of the border running illegal grows.

Def will!.. I hope it freezes out some of these illegal Asian hoop houses tho. Not hating on Asians... just their disruption of the legal market.

They just busted a ring in Muskogee yesterday. 4 houses spread across town same suspects. 130lbs processed flower, 50K cask and over 30,000 growing plants between the 4 houses plus some weapons and a couple of ounces of cocaine. They told the police"We have applied for our license and were just getting a jump on it until they they arrived" :P

Hey looks like you guys may only get 1-3" of snow. They are predicting 5-9" for us. No telling how much ice buts its falling now. I pulled the generator out of the storage building changed the oil and gassed it up today trying to be prepared. Passed by the big hotels today. Their parking lots were full of bucket trucks. I dont mind the snow...its the Ice that is killer. If we lose power Im not going to worry about my plants. They are in the last week anyway. I'll let them sit in the dark and chop them when the lights come back on. It smells like heaven in there.

If your pond freezes over real good I would love to see a picture of that blue water turned to blue ice!

Everyone stay safe and bundle up for winter's last hurrah!

@medicaloutlaw Im sure we didn't get as much as you guys farther up North, but the pond did turn a turquoise color.....

Did you check on the nearby hoops?

What model copter are you using? I used to have a dji phantom, but after I had kids I didn't get to play with it as much. I gave it to the neighbor's college kid a while back. They've come a long way since then. I've been thinking about picking one up.

I've already checked on the hoops LOL!... This one was shot with a DJI Mavic Air2. I've been a commercial Drone pilot since 2015, but I let my license expire last year. Started out with 2 Inspire Pros, and then they started coming out with smaller and smarter ones, with larger bitrate, sensors, etc. The new Mavic 3 is out right now, but for $3K, there's not that big a difference, so im gonna just hold on to this M2A for now. I used to do a lot of commercial work in Real Estate, Law firms, and did a Documentary for PBS a couple of years ago. It was a 4 year long project, and I did all the Oklahoma footage via ground and air. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and is available on Amazon Prime.
