Go with the hps mh lights easy strong light, and cheaper, the only really good led are the diy lights and if diy is to much effort or money then I recommend hps

I used to grow under a 400 watt Metal halide years ago, I have yet to match those grows with this box, I hope to make led upgrades between grows and get myself to that level, its just the money, getting 4 more cobs to bring me to 6 crees is going to cost another 300 bucks,, but with that said, I really dont think my box can handle the heat of such a big bulb,,
its too late for me LED has me in its grips,, lol

Very nice scrog Tim. I considered setting up one of those in my cab but a friend talked me into doing a bunch of smaller plants. To cut down on grow time.

Right on man, i dig sea of green , our legal sales start here in 14 days, and part of legal rec sales is clones and seeds at the MMJ shops here, so if clones dont cost very much or if I can get some from friends, Ill put 4 in my small box and really cut down on the veg time, what is interesting is being able to get Teens also, the last 2 times much of my veg was cut down for me,, its kinda nice,

Hey Tim,
Lots of nice lookin nugs, but what's up with the leaves?
Cal/Mag deficiency ?
Hey Fish, the leaf issue is disscussed well over in my current grow thread under the led section, but what your seeing is my journey growing in soil,, ugh, this whole thing is trying to drive me to grow hydro next round, I am using fox farms ocean forest soil, and that soil is talked about all over on here and lately many growing are finding the soil to be really hot, so I followed typical advice and started adding light nutes at the 4th week, and this caused a nitrogen toxicity issue, I got the dreaded claw, and tip burns, after looking at many ictures and talking with guys on here the quick decision was to flush and get rid of nitrogen tox , the plant quickly recovered, but the damage on the leaves will remain, but what i had to watch for was that damage did not travel more, and it hasnt, I have a few leaves that are un effected and I am using those leaves as a gauge going thru the last 2 weeks of the grow, and those few leaves are healthy, one problem with nitroben tox is it looks like cal mag def and many growings add more nutes and the problem gets worse
there has been a huge debate within me on going hydro or staying in soil, and the debate is not over, I can do both, and hydro would be great for the control over factors,
but soil is so easy,, ( not that hydro is not easy),, soil requires very little very ver little work if you use an orgainc soil ,, I know, blah blah blah,, lol,,
so yea, its down the home stretch here now

so after you said cal mag def, I looked at the plants this morning and the plant of the right has much more leaf yellowing happening than the plant on the left, the nute burns are still there from 2 weeks ago, but I tend to agree with you, that maybe certain nutes are being depleted in the soil now
SOOO i mixed in a little ( half strength) cal mag,, now the cal mag bottle said 2 percent nitrogen, so hopefully that is low enough ,
oh the hydro debate,, now the hydro side is winning again, the idea of following a nute chart like you showed me on your grow page,, i can do that,, lol

Very nice, one of my favourite parts. All the hard work pays off and you can start perfecting your buds.

I'll be curing my autoflower soon, so I can't wait.
already making major plans for the next grow,
1 moving the box next to a window
2 re doing the entire vent systems , same parts, but so venting out the window can happen
3, major light upgrade, either 400 watt bulb or, 400 watts of cree cobs
4, either hempy buckey or flood drain hydro
