*** Online Growing School 101 ***

With soil I always use 6.3 for feeds/plain watering's/foliar sprays---rock-wool I would start the soak at 5 but the PH comes up to 6.3 in 18 to 24hours. 5.5 to 6.2 is great for veg growth even in soil but in flowering you need more phos so 6.3 to 6.55 is where you should land for max phos absorption---I try to keep my soil at 6.5 to 6.8

rockwool soaked in water ph'd to 5.Better put that in my notes being I have rockwool for cloning.I knew ya soaked them but wasn't sure what to ph the water to for the soak.Thanks

Sorry to all my growers and the online class but I have an opportunity to help a lot of Medical patients along with continuing to developing my seed line and Medical marijuana. So I will be making a move that will take at least 2 weeks as of today. As soon as I get established I will return to continue what I started. I'm in the process of moving to CO to work with some dispensaries and co-op's. I understand your grows have to continue so I recommend following AL B FUCTS cloning method for rock-wool or MR HOWARD MARKS method for soil cloning. I've already flipped the lights to 12/12 because my girls are already 19 to 24 inches tall after 30 days in veg. Today is day 4 of flower. The 3 large plants in the middle are all confirmed females. The other 4 are unknown at this point.

Hey doc ya got a link to al b fucts cloning method or grow journal? Been trying to search for it wiyh no luck.

Sure man....... I'd be glad to give you guys the skinny.... but let me say now that I'm no professional. In fact I've got plenty to learn. Everything I know, I've learned from the community here. Anyway, here goes...

I'm growing Feminized Snow White, Feminized PPP, and a Sativa female that I'm unsure of. I've got 3 definite females.

I'm growing them in Baccto Pro Mix and I use Jacks Classic Nutes. (Orchid Special and Bloom Boost). Growing under a 600w HPS.

I just enhanced my setup.... I built a 9 clone cloner (DWC and its fkn awesome), so now I have a mother and the babies along with clones in a veg room.... my flower room stays on 12/12 from here on out. I'll only have 3 female in this grow but they will be 4 footers.... however,,, I've taken 9 clones from a BEAUTIFUL Snow White mother and the next grow will be 6 or 8 Snow White females... after that,,,,, I harvest 8 plants every 63 days.

I can live with a pound every 2 months.

As far as my 'steps till now' go it's pretty simple:

Germinated seeds in early Jan.... vegged for 30 days.... feeding once at 1/4 strength at 2 weeks, then fed full strength at 4 weeks. I then waited a week; flushed them real good and then flipped them into 12/12(5 days ago). In a week I'll start my Bloom feedings and continue them until I flush at 8 weeks with Molasses. I'll chop between day 60 and 65 usually.

good shit. thats the info i was looking for. repped

did u top them or do the FIM thing? they look real bushy

those of you that have transplanted, did you brush off the dirt off the roots and water them or feed them when putting them in bigger pots?

I fed them a week before then per-watered the new soil in the new pots.I then used a cup to make the hole the same size as my cups the babys are in.I then watered the plants a little and waited about 8hrs and then popped them out of the old cups and popped them into the new pots in the holes I made. I then watered the new pots around the new plants untill I got just a touch of runoff.Plants never stressed at all.Just took off.I used plain ph'd water without nutes for the transplant.

Ok still haven't found als cloning method for rockwool so heres a question.Do ya set the rockwool in water after ya got your clones in them or what.I watched one vid where they put 1 inch of water in the bottom of the cloning tray and just set the rockwool in it and slap on the dome.But,,,keep hearing ya dont want them to wet so what gives.Got prolly a week or 2 before having to clone but not sure if I need to buy something for the rockwool to set on in the cloning tray to keep them out and atop of the water or just pop them in the water.I also bought some wilt spray so anyone ever use this and do ya still mist a couple times a day and keep the dome on or what?
Theres about 500 ways to clone and been reading and reading but still not sure.1 says put them in water next one says dont????

No topping or FIM... they are healthy for sure. I'll keep you posted with pics throughout the flowering stage.

No... the only time you want to purposely disturb your roots when transplanting is when your plants are rootbound... ie, you take them out of the original pot and the roots are wound around in a tight, matted circle. In this case, use a fork to tease apart these mats, and break off any chunks of dead roots (usually kind of orangey-looking and gooey, and you can't really see the individual root fibers anymore..).

Always water after transplanting to settle the new soil and your plant's roots together... you don't want big air gaps down there. As for nutes, depends... if I'm transplanting into a well-amended or pre-fertilized soil, I usually skip this and add nutes later once I see the plant is growing again. A lot of people like to water with root stimulators when transplanting... I haven't done this, so I can't say how well that works.
