Hmmm.maybe thats been the problem, being I've been subtracting the water pmm of 220 from my feedings of big bloom.Think my last feeding was at 470 total ppms.I was taking the 220 of the water out of what the total of finished water with nute was.Maybe it wasn't the big boobies after all but the NEWBIE,,,hmmmm.

I'm not the Doc, but it's good straight out of the bag. A+++ on soil choice....

As pennywise says below--the FFOF is great out of the bag---BUT!!!:bigjoint:---Your plants and roots will grow alot faster if you use a ratio of 1part perlite/ to 1 part FFOF. MJ loves a light loose loomy medium.

It is good out of the bag.

If anyone is interested I can give you receipe for the DOCS organic growing medium but its not cheap(cost wise your better of using FFOF).

Yep thats why I grabbed the extra bag of perlite, thought I'd still need to add some to the soil.Checked the babys today and they already look way better.Hell had had to raise the lights one link due to the little sucker grow 1 1/2" since last night.maybe theres hope after all.Heres a few pics from today.

Yeah I think so to, thanks.Poor little things.
Never used a ppm meter before so the ppm thing has me a little off.Was thinking I should remove the ppm of the water when doing feedings and not including it into the finished mix ppm.Think I have it now.Thought I read somewhere that ya ppm your water then add nutes untill ya get to the ppm of the nutes ya want to hit. When he said 650 I was taking it as 650 of just nutes not with the water ppm.Thats why I stopped adding more water when I hit 870 ppms on the meter,870 minus 220ppm of my water for 650ppm of nutes.

Anyone got a dumbass sticker fer my forehead :wall::roll::eyesmoke::lol:

Hey Kruzty I got a dumbass sticker but I'm keeping it.
:dunce::dunce: Guess i'll where the dunce cap then :dunce::bigjoint::bigjoint:.They seemed to have really like the dose though.Had to raise lights again this morning,so thats 3 inches in 2 days.My sump pump failed last night and flooded half my basement so I was trying to deal with that all day and cleaning up the mess.thank god the babys where on the table or they would have been sitting in 2 inches of water.Veg room isnt sealed so the water went right on in.Bloom room didn't leak a drop so guess I sealed that good enough.Sure glad I always keep a spare pump or that 2 inches would have been 3 before I could have gotten another one.I'm off to lowes now to replace the spare.

You're sooooooo lucky to have a basement!!!----If I had one I'd dig a drain hole in the center of the floor and add gravel--Then just flood my containers and let it run to the ground. Glad the dosage worked for ya---keep us in the loop.

LMAO,,,be one hell of a flood and drain table wouldn't it ???

:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:,now ya got me thinkin, hmmmmm never thought of that.Could flood the whole bloomroom and drain to the sump :lol::lol::lol::bigjoint:.Pump it back like a big rez.Ol-lady will just have ta wear hip boots when doing the laundry :bigjoint::finger::finger::bigjoint:

I'll add some pics of the plants in a couple days. I had to raise the light this morning and by this evening they where at the light again,so prolly another 3/4" :blsmoke:.Here will be my problem.Count is only 12 including rooted clones.I have 12 plants unsexed.2 strains I'd like to keep.Rest can just flower. But how to keep in the limit. If I can get the 2 strians of clones to root in say 10 days then that should be close to the mama plants to show sex reducing my plant count and able to keep female clones. They took out muture plants in our rules so it's just 12 plants, period. Not a problem if I was starting with female clones but from seed it makes it kind of hard.Have to deal with sex and keep within count. I would really like just one strain and have 4 started. I need a short very tasty strain and have 1 that I think will fit the bill. The f/l's are close to what I'm after but the stinky widow is a shorter plant from what I've heard. So those are my target plants.1 f/l and 1 s/w for mamas. As ya can see I prolly will have to send more to the gallos.Sexing will help but keeping clones will be the trick while sexing the parent plants. See my problem ??
Bloom side will only run 8 plants max, 6 would be more like it.6 very small plants, root clones and striaght to flower. My max wieght of useable mj is 2.5 oz's.I can do this with 1 plant but would like maybe 2 strains going to switch up the smoke. So as ya see I'm shooting for very short 1 cola plants that are super tasty.2.5 oz's every month of the most tasty I can grow.Thats what I'm after.

Thats why I'm here.

Can't wait for that cloning sections to come up!

I transfered the plants into the bigger 2-gallons last saturday and they bounced back pretty fast and didn't seem to go into too much stress. I then took cuttings on wednesday from each of the plants (about 4 from each plant) for a total of about 25 cuttings.

I soaked rapid rooters in 5.8 pH plain water and dipped the ends in rooting gel before putting in the rapid rooters. All these went into a humidity dome with a heating mat underneath and 2 growlux bulbs about 4 inches above the top of the dome (but 8 or so inches from the actual plants). Each of the cuttings was about 3 or so inches long

It's been two days now and most of the cuttings are looking a little droopy and are curved over, is this bad? Is there anything else I should do for them and when should I start checking for roots?

mist with water and make sure your humidity dome is sealed--should build up condensation on the top of the inside of hood.---Good job with the rapid rooter----Only thing I would have done diffeent would have been RO water and a drop of powerthrive @6.3.

Opps, forgot to say that the humidity dome was sealed and is working well with condensation building up. I've just been looking in from the top part where there is no condensation and can see some have bent over. I guess I'll just wait now and hope for the best!

My water is still fairly good for just plain old tap water, around 85 or so. And you would keep the pH at 6.3?
