400Whps

I have a 400w hps and 3 sets of t8's, i plan on growing afew lowryder plants(and variations of it).Would it be better to grow them for the first 30 days under the flourecents then switch to the hps, or to do 2 different batches one under each set of lightes.(i want to keeping the flourecents all together, would it be okay to mount 2 to the ceiling and 1 to the wall (horizontal).
I also was wondering how high cfm rated fan would i want for a space 5ft tall 4 1/2ft wide and 2 feet deep with my 400 w hps, the area is currently around 24C at all times.
this is my first indoor grow and as everyone, i want to get it right the first time.
