Oregon Green Seeds Two Dawgs...

Has anyone experience with Oregon Green Seeds Two Dawgs? Looks like a VERY GOOD chance at finding FIRE in there from the leg work they have put into it. Here so their description:

Two Dogs is the result of crossing two Stardawg BXs together – Stardawg BXs that I made using two different different pollen donor — a Stardawg BX1, and a Stardawg BX2.

Besides one being BX1 and the other at BX2… See the outcross pollen donors used below:

Stardawg BX1:
Step 1 – Stardawg cut x Ghost OG (same used to make Oregon Grown OG)
Step 2 – Stardawg Cut x Stardawg cut/Ghost OG (seed from step 1)

Stardawg BX2
Step 1 – Stardawg cut x Sour Bubble
Step 2 – Stardawg cut x Stardawg cut/Sour Bubble
Step 3 – Stardawg cut x (Stardawg cut/Stardawg x Sour Bubble) seed from step 2

How’d they make a backcross using Ghost OG? Ghost OG is a clone only. Was this a fem cross?

Usually backcrossing is used to try to replicate a clone only in reg seed form, but Stardawg is already available as reg seeds.

I haven't been able to find a ton of info about the strains offered by OGS. (There are a lot). I have had great communication with Deb, the owner, and she helped me narrow down my choices and threw in a freebie as well.

I was drawn to their site because they specialize in outdoor hardy strains with early-'ish' flower times.

I currently have her Amnesia Hashplant and OGOG in my garden.

The OGOG are super vigorous and very healthy. Just barely starting to show sex at 5.5 weeks old and were topped at 3rd or 4th node.

The Amnesia Hashplant have been less consistent. It took 6 seeds to get 4 plants above ground (4/4 for OGOG). Once above ground, 1 had really odd leaf twisting and variagation that it did not grow out of. 1 is kind of runty, but chugging along, the other two are looking as vigorous the OGOGs. I've only LST'd the Amnesia Hashplant.

I also have Double Diesel for next year and the freebie she sent of something else...can't remember right now. I'll try and update in the fall re: finish times and smoke report. Maybe a general Oregon Green Seed thread is in order?

Do you have much experience with other og strains or cuts? I'd like to know if ogog resembles og well or is more noticeably influenced by the Iranian Autoflower. Whenever you get the chance to sample it.

I grew the Cindy satellite outdoors last year. Decent strain but took longer to finish than advertised and had to throw a whole plant out due to mold. Definitely some potential in there though, one of the plants was just as frosty and dense as my indoor and reeked of blueberries and tropical fruit.20191008_204244.jpg

I don’t have experience with other OG strains, so won’t have much to compare it to unfortunately. I’ve never smoked Ghost OG and never experienced Iranian Early Flower by itself, but did have some really nice Iranian Haze (Dr. Gremthumb) from a friend.

My OGOG are vigorous growers though with nice smell after about 6 weeks. Going to choose the best one and pull the others soon. I’ve got a tall and shorter pheno to choose from.

Good info. Were these grown in the NEast? What is your Latitude? Deb was clear that if much lower than 44 or 45 Lat, they will finish later. When did they end up finishing for you? What was the smoke like?

Thanks.

Yeah I'm at 42 lat in new england, maybe that explains it. Harvested most of them about 10 days into october. I noticed the bushier more branchy phenos showed better mold resistance. The smoke was smooth and sweet tasting with an uplifting energetic high to it, good daytime smoke.
