Ok, so i just joined this forum. But i have noticed a ton of people growing with hydro set ups. I take a different route. I believe that organic grows with natural products gives the best tasting buds there are. Anybody else out there that grow for themselves do the natural method? I understand why people grow hydro but ill put my handy work agianst any hydro and think you would agree. takes a little longer and theres a smaller yeild but side by side i believe theres a difference. im just lookin for other growers like me to swap techniques with. Hyd:-oro growers dont take this the wrong way. more power to ya.

Im 80% organic, I grow with my mulch from previous gardens. I took my organic skills for my vegetable garden and converted them to the pot. Let me tell you, I do believe nature needs a little help now and then. Mostly my bud is fed with wonderful warm mulch, I have a casting plot going and next year getting chickens for the wonderful stuff they produce. Just remeber... true organics DOES NOT COME FROM A BOTTLE!!!!!

I'll get crap for that comment but if you think about it its true. Those so called organic ferts you pay so much for... bullshit, someone had to make that, extract it, I just scoop my stuff onto my plants and BAM! great NATURAL BUDS. I agree with you buddy, organic does produce best pot.

I couldn't agree with you more!! True gardeners MAKE their own grow medium through composting and teas.

Very nice. Glad to see some old skool growers with a bit of knowledge. I do compost. i add worm castings, bat guano, bone/blood meal. I really dont add any nutrients to my soils unless i have to. I would like to believe that i can tell when my plants need things but there usally fine. I just try to build it up with slow release nutrients that desolve over time. my skill set came from being a kid and growing veggies my whole life with granny. I read lots of books on horticulture and plant propergation. Its something that interests me to the max. My grandmother was considered on of the best rose growers in western New York. With that being said, im far from the best and i always enjoy learning new ways to do things. Just wanted to see if there were other growers like that. Seems like alot of people are into going and buying the most expensive ferts to make plants grow as fast as posibble. Little time and paitence seems to reward me more. not to mention cheaper

I personally believe soil gives a better flavor. Not only that but i like to blend my soils. Get my hands dirty. I only grow on a personal scale and a hydro system makes more sense for larger scale. I grow them the same way i grow many of my other plants. Agian im fully aware that the hydro set ups work very well. I wasnt questioning that. i was just getting a feel for a more natural way of growing. I understand that theres not alot of people that do like i do.

I've only taken a quick look at hydro and I think you need to be a freakin chemist to know any of that stuff. I just water and have never had a plant problem. Infact, I don't even own a PH meter.

There is a difference between Organics and TLO. Myself I am 100% organic and I use Humboldts Naturals, and I mean the entire line up. TLO is True Living Organics. That is when you are making your own medium, and adding your own compost full of nematodes and beneficial bacteria, etc.
I harvest some of the dankest and heavy harvest every time.
P.s. True Organics can and are sold in bottles and labeled Certified Organic from the state which they where bottled in.
