An appropriate rant from the east coast, who passes joints around any more? I've been going solo for a spell, I just give em a joint, or papers and a bag.

I'd say pound the (ass)holes, or plug em if ya wish, it's just a euphemism for fucking em and I'm all for it. If people want to kill others, we got to treat them like killers cause that's what they are, discipline must be imposed on some folks, most do the right thing.

what he was saying was to close loopholes that people use as an excuse to get around restrictions. He has a point and it was an OK rant.

But still,

"plug the holes"?

Makes me laugh every time.

Canada is still weeks away from easing pandemic restrictions and restarting economy, Trudeau says

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer demands return of House of Commons in push for post-pandemic plan

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said today there will be a phased-in approach to reopening Canada's economy as the COVID-19 crisis subsides — but it will be weeks still before business and school shutdowns begin to ease off.

During a briefing outside his residence at Rideau Cottage, Trudeau said talks with provinces on resuming economic activity are continuing. He said he understands that everyone wants to know when things will get back to normal, but cautioned that everyone must "stay the course" because Canada is not yet through the first wave of the pandemic.

"The reality is, it is going to be weeks still. We recognize that it is going to be important to get our economy going and that we will have to do it in phases. We will have to remain vigilant until such a point as a vaccine against COVID-19 is found," he said.

"We are having ongoing discussions with the provinces at this point. We recognize that different regions of the country are at different places along the evolution of their COVID-19 curve. We're going to make sure that we try to stay co-ordinated as best as possible."

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe said yesterday that he's crafting a plan to re-open his province's economy "cautiously, methodically and gradually" if confirmed cases of COVID-19 remain low.

Coronavirus outbreak: Decisions about Canada's border will be made by Canadians "full stop"

Speaking to reporters in Ottawa, Ontario on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister of Canada Chrystia Freeland issued a blunt statement about the possible future easing of travel restrictions along the U.S. / Canada border, saying decisions about Canada's border will be made by Canada "full stop."

United States President Donald Trump signalled Wednesday that he’s prepared to support easing travel restrictions along the Canada-U.S. border sooner rather than later — although the feeling may not be mutual, given the extent of the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States.

“Our relationship with Canada is very good — we’ll talk about that. It will be one of the early borders to be released,” the president said. “Canada’s doing well, we’re doing well — so we’ll see.”

In addition, Freeland on Thursday described the situation at long-term care homes in Quebec as an “urgent situation” and said that the federal government is committed to supporting Quebec.

Freeland also said she was not at liberty to discuss details of when Canada's intelligence community first became aware of the risk posed by the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan, China.

Race left out of Canada’s COVID-19 data

There are growing calls for Canada to collect wider demographic data after numbers in the U.S. reveal that racially and economically marginalized people are disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
