peoples feedback needed..

hi all, i am about to start my first indoor grow project and i need to find out what you guys think of my set up and also any recommendations or comments are welcome.

first of all in vegetive growth i was planning on using one 250 Watt PowerPlant Metal Halide Lamp to grow two plants in two seperate pots. (will this be enough light or should i invest in another one to go alongside?)

after my vegetive growth and when i have entered my flowering stages, i had in mind to use a 250 Watt PowerPlant Son-T-Plus Lamp which is a standard Sodium lamp (again would this need to have another lamp added to it to increase light etc..?)

my grow space is around 3ft across and 4ft up.

one 400w would do you perfect in that space, imo

very small space for big lights. what are you planning to do with the heat

400 watt air cooled with inline fan to exhaust

well i will have a floor fan situated about a ft away from where the plants grwo, to keep a nice circulated breeze. Also did u mean 400w HPS, or make up 400w MH?

1 400 watt hps would be great for flowering.Use the mh to veg then switch to an air cooled 400 watt hps light that would be great for those plants in that tight area good luck

thanks very much for the info. also, i am going to construct a grow room/cabinet, but i need to know what measurements would be ideal for using a 400w hps light. i don't have an incredible amount of space, but enough i reckon..

any ideas?

btw...the plants that i plan on growing are going to be lowrider 2. they look nice, grow small (relatively) and produce a nice amount of bud . Also, because they don't reach a very big height, i could fit maybe 3-4 of them in my grow space..?

400w would be way better, especially with an aircooled hood for the small space will get supper hot. 3x3 is ideal and for lowryder i say use no bigger the 2.5 gallon pots all through there cycle. people say hps in veg cause stretch but i think depending on the strain. and your using a shorty! but for a couple bucks more you can get a switchable ballast and two bulbs. MH and HPS. or if your like me just the hps. ha! i use a 250MH for 4 mothers and they stretch. but i like it because i just take clones from them. 3 gallon pots almost 3 feet tall! so thats my pennies.
