ph color comaprison

It is close but I put it higher. It may be the lighting but I see a green tint in there. I would put it very close to 7.0 or a few points down.

Are you in hydro or dirt?

next investment... 10-20 usd (ebay) Chinese ph meter... the color thing sucks, i have one too, used for less than two weeks. lol

Coco coir . I think I'm going to have to get the Hanna combo meter. That way I can measure ppm also. This was distilled water btw. It was close to 8 without treatment.

Getting it dialed in with the drops is pretty tricky too. I added one drop of pH down and it went straight dark orange.

Yeah I'm in coco also. I found when I adjusted to just a tint of orange 5.5 - 5.8 it worked the best. I used to do 6.0 (Just a little more yellow then your picture) but it seems, at least in my situation, a little lower on the ph scale and let them drink it up for a day or two, as they eat the ph will slowy rise.

Do you use the dropper that comes with it? That weird looking tube that you have to cut the end off of?

Next on my list of equipment is a temperature, ppm, and ph monitor but need to budget the few hundred dollars to get it.

Its lights off now, but tomorrow I'll try and remember to post a picture of what the color I use in my coco plants looks like.

It has a slight green tinge so more like 7

You can learn to read by testing tap water then add vinegar (pH down) then add baking soda (pH up) until you are familiar with the different shades
