PH Question?

So I was wanting to know something about PH. I bring my PH to 6.5 when I feed and then I bring it down to 6.5 from a 7.3 as well. Im using pro mix #4. I add lime to my soil as well. Having said all that if Im adjusting my PH up and then down isn't this bad for my plants to have the PH UP and the DOWN in my soil. You would never mix these two things at the same time so why is it safe to do so in my soil?

then u need to balance ur ph. u shouldnt be using so much ph down that u need to add ph up juss to balance it... juss drips nd drops untill its at the perfect level.. takes patience.. Ph fluctuation can cause stress to the plant turning it into a male so just try to keep ur ph in a Range of 6.3 to 6.8 any where inbetween is suitable for the roots to suck up all the nutes they need to grow big.

I think you miss understood the question. Im not that dumb that I would mix PH UP AND DOWN in the same water barrel.

Try to keep it as balanced as possible when the PH goes to different ranges it allows different amounts of nutrients to be fed to the plant espesially when it is out of the 5.6-6.3 range or a couple on either side but like Kayotick said it will grow "its a weed". keep it consistant.

Your growing in soil which controls your pH. Adjusting pH of water/feedings is just a waste of time and money. No matter what you adjust them too they will buffer to the mediums pH within an hour.......

Your growing media is gonna change the pH of whatever you put into it to that of the media. Adjusting the pH of the solution going in is sort of pointless, unless you adjust it so that you dont "shock" the roots. You need to be concerned with the pH of the MEDIA, not so much that of whatever is going into it. But in answer to your question, pH up and pH down will sort of cancell each other out. You'd be adding unnecessary chemicals.
The whole idea of "liming" the media is to raise the pH of most peat based components of the media, which are acidic.

Anything between 5.5 and 6.3 won't hurt your plants. I do my first run after changing the water a 7 and balance it after it I see what it comes back as.
