Thanks for the advice I will surely pay more attention to lighting this time. Does sativa require different lighting schedule than indica? And which soil should I use?That soil just won't do. Theres lots of research out there for the finding but the essentials would be nice airy and nutrient rich soil with good drainage. Good soil can make up for a lot of beginner's mistakes.
And make sure you look into lighting requirements also before popping another seed in the dirt.

That is so true, I'm really happy to have found this website, I'm pretty sure my nxt plant won't end up like this!!
Be extra cautious around Youtube videos. Most of them that I've come across or had pointed out to me are full of complete and utter nonsense.
So many of those youtube videos are just some crappy grower that made a video of his crispy fried plants and think they know what they're doing and spread terrible advice. The worst thing is that some on here actually post links to those worthless videos and others look at them and start using some crappy growing techniques. Then they post pictures of crappy plants and many give them accolades and say how great their plants look when their plants look like garbage. I answered in a post once where someone was asking how their plants looked. They posted pictures of plants with dead crispy leaves and nasty looking buds. People were saying things like "Great Job" "Plants look great", etc... I posted the truth that they looked like crap and some got all bent out of shape. I've come to the conclusion that some just don't know what a healthy plant should look like because they're used to seeing nasty overfed plants burnt to a crisp. Many are more focused on how many bottles of crap they can dump on their plants than following proper gardening techniques and growing healthy plants.

am unsure how to feed them, is cow manure a good nutrient? I have space only for one plant and I'll have to be cautious with the smell when it arrives. So, I'm posting pics of both the plants and hope that they grow to be healthy, these are after one week. They are most probably mango Sativas as it is the only strain I get from local suppliers.
