Please help me I have been saving up a long time and now i got a 3000 dollar budget ,i have a 9 by 5 space and i really wanna get started with hydro

Re-use. I used to run it in my f&d pots straight. I don't see why you'd want it in your garden. Not that there isn't any in mine...but it's reusable. That's how I've treated it. Cleaned it and re used it.
i've been throwing the whole container worth of coco/hydroton in the trash. it's a pain to separate i think.

I would allow the root masses to dessicate completely. Then break them apart into a large trashcan and flood. Most of the root matter floats up.

That's how I separate it from the roots too. And damn it's a pain. Wondering if there was a better way.

I left some for years in a tub in my basement. The organic matter was dust after that. Just hose off and put it out with the trash :)

Just went into the gardens.

I'd prefer using hydroton again in the f&d.
I think about it, but it's only worth the work if you are trying to produce weight. It's hard for me to imagine a personal active hydro grow geared to just my needs.
