So young, so helpless..... 14 days ago they had their mom's to live off of and now they are gone.....:cry::cry:

I trust they will be just fine at their new home

I am constantly trying new ways to clone so I usually have extras laying around. :eyesmoke:

I was however handed some Honey for my troubles and man does it taste YUMMAY!!!!!!

No fancy update today. I was feeling lonely since the girls left so I made a couple more

A piece of a blooming Blue Dream on the left and a piece of XJ13 on the right.

PM decided to stop by for a visit in the flower room so out came the Green-cure. I mixed up a half gallon in my bug sprayer and went to town Soaking everything in the room.... I only saw 5 dots of it but that is more than enough!

A 75 watt cfl in the corner works great and wont burn the plants while they are wet.

A few days ago I decided it was time to up-pot the Triploid. Sure enough she was ready..

20131001_105121.jpg

I decided to experiment with a milk crate and some garden fabric.

And the new home!

20131001_110550.jpg 20131001_125732.jpg

I have this lone branch at the bottom of the Blue Dream. I decided to wrap it up with some soil and root tone and see what happens.

Forgot to mention it in this thread...

I ordered another 600 watt set up this morning. It is going to be tough waiting for it. The last one showed up early so maybe this one will also.I decided to try another cheap brand since well........ I'm cheap!!
I'm going to give the Thunder a try. Say's it has a 5 year warranty and it was CHEAP!!!! Should spruce the place up a bit with two 600 watters in there

Not much happening really...

Tracking on the new light shows it is in Troutdale,Or.. Just over half way here! :-? Expected delivery Wed the 9th.

I ordered a scale also but it will be a game getting it. We don't have mail delivery in our small ass town so a PO Box is used. They shipped it USPS to my house address so it will be un-deliverable and sent back. been there done that with a ham radio.... :cuss:

The light is Fed-Ex so it is not a problem!! :hump:

Here is the Triploid. I gave her 2 gallons of fresh water today so I could get some runoff. The ph is 6.12 and the ppm's are 2390...I am surprised she is not burning up!!!!

20131007_105327.jpg 20131007_105334.jpg

As for the Red Room... I have varying ppm's lower than 1400 and ph lower than 5.6 and am seeing problems so I need to figure it out and address those needs. I will get some pictures without the HPS and get them up.
Here are some shots of my Ghetto indoor... Red Room

The 8x12 ish room is made up of 1" rigid insulation from Homey Depot. Cheap, lightweight and reflective! I divided it in half using two layers of the rigid insulation as one layer allows a very small amount of light to pass through. The wind machine in the corner blows down under the plants. The pedestal fan does what it does up top. The A/C draws air from the Red Room and blows some of the air into the veg room which is returned through a pan fan near the floor in the wall connected to some 6" flex duct laying under the plants. There is a thermometer in the wall so I can monitor the Room without opening the door.

The veg area is even more Ghetto at the moment. But hey!!! It works!!!!

The Thunder 600 watt ballast showed up and I did not waste any time installing it!! Decent looking ballast, doesn't have that cheap look to it. It is slightly smaller than the Apollo and has the "SUPER LUMIN" setting. The cool tube is also built just about the same as the Apollo unit.

Here are the bulbs that came with it and the Apollo.

Thunder 20131008_164359.jpg Apollo 20130919_093313.jpg

So far the Apollo HPS looks like it has a touch more red but is the same brightness.

I might be able to hear the fan in the thunder a little but I can't hear so it might be loud as hell!

We will see if it is lit up in the morning.

Here is what I am dealing with right now with the girls. A few of them are doing this...

20131008_171738.jpg

My water is ph 7.17 going in and around 5.6 coming out so I need to add something to raise the ph of my soil.

Wow!! I "liked" that you got your new light...I DISLIKE your pH issue :(
What do you suppose is the culprit? Do you have lime in your soil?

Good morning Melissa!!

No, I did not put any lime in my soil. Bad ButchyBoy!! After I drop the kid off at school I am heading into the big city to do some shopping. I need more soil supplies anyways but really hate going to town.... Oh well, at least I can go hang with my only friend while I am there. I like to hang out at his automotive repair shop and fix stuff he doesn't work on then leave before he can have a chance to pay me. It pisses him off but he needs the money more than I do. :peace:

You are right!! The world does need more people like me because I am AWESOME!!!!! :o

Well maybe not but it makes me feel good to do a repair job that brings in a $1000 +/- profit that goes to supporting his two little girls instead of my grow room. The wife and I have lost track of how many times we bought car parts for friends so they could get to work. The feeling we get from helping others cannot be matched by anything else!!! Everyone should give it a try........... besides.. What goes around comes around in my world.
