What creeps me out are the ones that want you to post a pic to prove things ...lets see your grow post a pic prove it got pics got pics those are the ones i watch ...I really think its stupid to post pics in the first place .but even weirder is not posting pics yourself and demanding people post there pics ...think about it ? i mean this site is pretty bad idea its worse than the facebook as far as information gathering goes ........and when corporate takeover of the MJ happens there ganna know evething we ever knew about growing weed thanks to site like this ...........

my impression is that you can edit your own posts, for a certain time after you post them (couple days maybe?), and then the "edit post" button disappears.

Sorry but i have clicked "create new thread" a few times now and that option simply does not exist for me. Got a screenshot showing this option?? Seems like a load of tosh to me.

as long as you dont post pics through your phone you be all right. Anytime you are involved in an illegal interprise there is risk but youll be all right as long as you take the precautionary steps i said at the beginning of this thread

To the op of this thread,how many times does the member have to post asking where to find this feature before you or anybody else responds ?
Fuk its getting silly,he posts asking where to find this feature & everybody just keeps right on posting about everything but the question posed.
I too ask the question,where is this optional deletion feature,ive posted hundreds of threads & never saw this option,even when i was part of the " elite rolling group" that used to be an option here i never saw an option promising the op the ability to block or disallow any edit of posted responses,where is this thing ?

I think the answer would be that the OP doesn't even understand his own paranoia. That or they are for some reason trying to instill paranoia where there was none and should not have been any. He/she wants to start a witch hunt and squirrell out these narcs over a feature that doesn't exist

The more I look into the more I think that the inability to edit or delete posts after a certain period of time is universal. I am unable to edit any old posts, even on threads I have started. I think the whole board is set so posts just simply can't be edited or deleted after a set period of time.
I also can't find the option anywhere. Under posting permission it does note that my user account is allowed to edit my posts but this is not an option that can be set by normal users unless I'm mistaken.
Anyhow I just don't see this as a problem.

Sheesh,alot to do about nothing,there isnt any feature allowing thread starters to disallow the edit or removal of previously posted material.
Its a common sense issue & nothing more,threads can be edited as long as the thread is active so posters can edit/delete information that is relevant to their post,this gives other members actively involved in the thread time to understand & possibly respond to the edit or removal of information.
After the thread becomes inactive the edit feature is no longer allowed for one simple reason,edits that happen after threads become inactive destroy the timeline of the thread,allowing edits would give people an upperhand to change their posts in such a fashion where the entire thread made no sense what so ever.
There is no sinister forces at work here just common forum edicut.

And it has nowt to do with the thread being active or not. The ability to limit is a simple time limit. For example i can edit one post i made in this thread but not the post prior.

Why would I? I can never find what I posted?I have a question and a disposition, based upon how you guys respond to me it will either cement my opinion, or loosen it. Why would I? I can never find what I posted?
I find it odd that some people choose to disable the ability to edit/delete posts on their threads. I don't see why anyone would take the extra time to check off the option, and to what avail? I wonder if this is a tool that narcs use on this site so that once you have accidentally incriminated yourself it is more difficult to expunge your statements?
Any thoughts on the matter?
Anyone have any other ideas to spot narcs on this site? Any time tested ways? Any input at all is welcome. We are a community, and need to protect each other, as well as cover our own asses. Granted a certain level of care should be taken online, however no one is perfect.
If you are someone who disables the ability to edit/delete posts on your threads, why?

I'd suggest anyone concerned about their anonymity look into a VPN service. They are quite cheap ($45/year), give you a static IP in a city you choose, and encrypt your data over whichever tunneling protocol you prefer.
VPNs are the backbone of business networking, so the packets of encrypted data you are sending/receiving are lost in a MUCH MORE VAST sea of data then the entire consumer market (eg. business). Choose a city with a high population.
VPN's are also the only way that people in dictatorship countries can view all content on the internet. It's sad that so many people have to seek out and pay for these services, no one should have their lives screened by some entity they have no control over
