Pot Size And Food

I have my plants in a 1 gallon pots right now, they are about a foot high, I was really hoping that i wouldn't have to transplant again.?. And also i have been hearing a lot of good things about food. What is a brand/type of food i could buy from busy beaver or lows or something. All i can find is MG products and ive heard to stay away from MG.

yeah the mg is everywere gt some topsoil and mix in 20% perlite

You need plenty root space for a plant to grow at it's best. Sure you can grow in a dixie cup, but with sub par results. If you can afford it go with a 3 gallon container. Or you can buy from the hydro stores Roots Organic soil, and dump it out mix in some perlite and put back in the bag and use the bag as your container.
