Pretty noobish but...

About 5 months ago my friend gave me some seeds and told me they were sour D.. As an experiment I wanted to germinate them as practice for my real seeds. Long story short they actually germinated in a half emptied water bottle I found and I felt bad so I got some dirt from my backyard and filled up a cup and planted then planted it. If it sprouts I want to see if it'll grow in the sun from my window. If it ends up getting some sets of leaves I will feed it some spare nutes then plant it somewhere outside where no one will find it and leave it.

I'm sure this sounds pretty boring to you experienced growers but honestly do you think it'll make it? I'm not sure why, but I kinda like the idea of it growing wildly and letting nature take care of it. Any thoughts? Leave a comment I'd love to discuss :D

Why not. The sunlight from your window will be fine for it. After a couple weeks, and the plant produces more leaves you will have to get her outside. Find a good spot, if your planting in the ground make sure you till the dirt up. Get all the roots and big sticks out leaving you with good dirt. If you like, you could purchase some blood and bone meal from wal-mart. Fish heads are also good to use. The easy way, is just purchasing soil to fill the hole in with, lol..

Make you identify and kill any males.
I wont be checking up on it until months down the road ... IF it makes it that far.

Yea... I figured it'd be best to leave it at my window now since the temps are controlled and its still getting sun. Do you think it'll do fine without the additives? Just good o'l fashion dirt?

if youre not going to bother to check your plants for months at a time dont bother growing them.

How do they grow wildly? Does the local gardener find them and take care of them?

Thanks 8-)
most people dont go and smoke weed grown wildly. I assume youre referring to how its grown int he mountains of india, I can assure you its no "gravy train" half of the plants are fully pollinated by males, or crappily grown.
half eaten ect. so unless you want a bunch of shit bagswchag i would suggest checking on your plants.

Sunni... I don't plant on smoking anything that comes from this plant. If it does end up budding then maybe, but the initial plans are to learn how to get a plant started, then release it and let it do it's thing.. :/

grow a basil plant than....
youre not going to learn anything by planting a seed and never checking on your plant. youll only ever learn by PROPERLY growing a plant, learning the tips and tricks, fixing your deficiencies , gaining knowledge. and that happens by visiting your plant more than once every few months

If you were to enroll in college and never attend what would you learn? nothing. same with this "experiment" you're doing obviously you have not thought this through properly

Learning how to get a plant started and enrolling in college are 2 completely different things. Comparing apples to... potatoes.... :|

Please remove any males. They spread pollen for miles and miles and miles and ruin the buds for anyone who's growing in the general area. Seriously, you're going to destroy someone's plants that they have worked hard on for 6+ months. Someone who's depending on those plants.

There are lots of other people growing out in the woods, backyards, etc. wild male plants can turn our harvests into useless trash.

Wild plants that are full of seeds and mold are worthless and useless to you as well.

I completely understand your concern but this is a private area so there's no need to worry :D

Don't really see the point? you want to see if the plants will survive? I don't see why they wouldnt but dont plant em until you identify the males from the females, plant them away from other plants and shrubs and clear the immediate ground, I would check the plants every 10 days or so and feed em, prune them etc. even if you don't smoke em u can still make hash or wax and it serves for a bunch of learning experience

I got lucky with my very first grow. Germed one seed , planted it in a 5 gallon bucket with compost. Put it in a sunny spot, fed it some nutrients I had around, and had some nice fat buds by September 8)

It's a really resilient plant! Just dirt, water, some fertilizer ,and it WILL grow

Good luck!
