Preventing mites?

Hey all, I live in a cold climate (Canada) in a apartment building.

Do I even need to worry about spider mites? I have a fully sealed grow room and there isn't a patch of undeveloped land for a few kilometres.

I was considering outfitting my place with hotshot and pre-spraying if I have too. My harvests' are essential and I cannot risk it. It is a legal grow so I don't care about drawing attention to myself lawfully.

Has anyone here had experiences with spider mites?

NEVER bring in any plants into your home like clones or house plants. They can't fly so the only way they can get into your home is by being carried in. Once you've got them you'll never get rid of them. They lay eggs that can live for over a year.
I don't know their cold tolerance but houseplants are usually grown elsewhere and trucked in.

Affirmative on NOT bringing in any house plants. NONE! And, it's a good idea to maintain a "lab" environment. No street clothing or shoes in grow room. And, no matter how proud you are of your space, No visitors as you don't know where they've been or what they've touched.

Also, Zero Tolerance by Ed Rosenthal works as both a preventative AND remedy.
