Day 24

Well they are now 20 & 21" tall so tonight I will remove all the big sucker leaves, water them down with some water & B1...

I am a little disappointed in their appearance however I am only half way through the grow lets hope that the flowering stage goes well......

P.S. Before anybody gives me $hit remember I got 29oz with 12 plants & (1) 1000w lamp on my first grow so if you did better then go ahead and let me have it if not .....kiss-ass

Because my theory is that they don't need the big (sucker) fan leaves during flowering, I only leave the leaves that are around potential bud sites....

That's my theory however alot of people disagree on this !

I don't agree, fan leaves produce the sugars necessary for plant growth = bigger buds. :peace:

So let me see..... On my first grow I had 12 plants under a 1000w lamp and ended up with 29Oz.....remember 32Oz= 2lbs

You really think that if I didn't trim the leaves I would end up with more than that ?????

I don't know anybody around me that gets 2 lbs per light !!!! So I figured on my next grow do the same thing and don't change a thing !!!!!!

NewGrowth: How much do you get out of your grows ????

Or get more because you are a good grower and you left the fan leaves. I do remove leaves in a SOG. Thats pretty decent yield I get about 3/4-1g/watt in well adjusted hydro set up. Not insulting your grow, your plants look great! :peace:

Well today I am switching them over to flower. They are all between 18 & 22 inches tall.

They will be in flower for 4 weeks.

P.S.

Just to let everybody know the size of the pots does make a big difference. My plant that are in 8inch pots are all about 18-19" tall and the 10inch pots are all between 20-22"....

Wow..those plants look REALLY nice..green and healthy, and damn are they growing FAST lol...how log will you veg for before makin' the flip? You can easily flip them now...and theyll end up twice as tal...either way whatever you do,Im sure youre gonna have some kick ass homegrown for new years lol....might I suggest in the future you use coco coir/perlite?It really does make a HUGE diffrence....and since you def have a clean set-up and a green thumb...I recommend you use some better ferts than guanos..please look into A.N.....you dont need the entire line..just get Bud Blood,Big Bud,Overdrive, and Final Phase....any other "supplement"is simply sugars and carbs, which you can get by adding mollases.....

speakin of mollases, will yopu use it during flowering?since youre growing in soil, please do.....it feed all the microorganisms in the soil, and allows better nutrient uptake and root health overall....I honestly belive if you use coco coir/perlite...with ph control and some better nutes like A.N monkey juice (coco coir nutrients)...and maybe SUPERTHRIVE..those plants will be ALOT bigger than they already are....please cnsider it,since you have a VERY nice set-up...nothing complicated, just SIMPLE.....any questions about coir please ask...

Day 2 (Flowering)

Well I trimmed most of the big sucker leaves on the week end then put them into flowering. Now 2 days later and alot of the leaves have grown back however I seem to have an over-watering problem so I split my room in two too better track my problem....

Left side (1st pic) = healthy side
Right side (2nd pic) = less healthy a little over-watered

Day 9 (flowering)

OK so it has been a little while since I wrote so I'll try too fill you in on whats been happening...

I had what I thought was a minor overwatering problem but actually turned out to be a major over watering problem, then when I was cleaning up my plants I felt a couple of itches on my hand and my forehead then I realized I also had a major spider mite problem. However I must have caught it early because my leaves had no damage.....

So in order to fix these problemes I let my plants go really dry & I foliar sprayed for the spider mites. Now all seems on the up & up and now my ladies are back on the path to recovery !

1st pic is the 12 healthiest ladies averaging 24" tall
2nd pic is the 12 others standing at an average of 21" tall

This second grow is quite a bit tougher than the first, I am having a bunch of little & major problems I didn't have the first time around !!! Atleast I am gaining a ton of experience before I launch a major grow !
