Sonar I have been reading about this and just ordered a print. Could you provide a link to the tek? Also did you make a LC to knoc the jars ?

Canndo how do you know about cluster headaches ? I suffer from these and am suprised to find someone that knows about them since they are not very common.
I know a number of people that have them as I once grew mushrooms for them. Not a one failed to be helped with their headaches. Some have never had them again.

I actually have 2 more jars to open yet. I opened one about a month, month and a half ago and didn't get very much. I sort of forgot about them. If I have time today maybe I'll crack open the last two and see what's going on.

careful, there is a problem with opening sclerotia jars, sure, your substrate is fully grown out and you won't get any immediate contamination but if you open the jar and look around, then decide that you want to wait longer - eventually the mycelium weakens - or your jars go through a heating cycle and then next time you look, you've got contamination in there.

I lost a whole lot of jars exactly that way. You can see enough through the glass to make your determination most likely.

Very helpful !!!! Thank you . Canndo, my 'cellium is recovering from my shake 3 days ago. I expect to see something in abt 1-2 months... In your opinion would the mycellium fail if I actually waited 6 months to open? I'm specifically asking if you know the life cycle of unopened jars ....Thank you very much.

Also, have some mycellium not colonizing quickly, but living, about the size of a quarter. Just wondering, in case I get a cluster, does anyone have a Glittershitz method to recommend of consumption...does tea work? thanks :)

It is imparative that you have well filtered breather holes in your jars, I have had jars last 6 months but they are usually on the down side. Keep them in the dark and cool and you should be ok.

Canndo, adequate to have injection holes with micropore tape, or do you think long term fae calls for silicon/tyvek ports to accomodate more flow? Thanks so much.

We are talking about a comparatively large amount of mycelium creating a lot of CO2 and needing a full complement of air, you want to balance that fact with the fact that too big a hole will let moisture out and eventually dry the mycelium out..

If planning to grow out the harvested grain, I believe they have the same parameters as Pan Cyans, and Copes.... will need 80ish degree temps and slightly lower humidity/higher FAE than cubes. Mine have failed in the past but I haven't given up trying, good luck with yours and we want pics if it goes well!
