Quality Over Quantity

i like that idea...i thought about defoling but since its a auto i dint want to stunt/stress her. the more bushy one def needs more training and things.
Lol, if you want to see lack of training look at this. Here is my current plant at 2 weeks into flower in a 5X5X7 tent. Was supposed to be an auto but didn't start flowering so I flipped switch. It ended up vegging with almost no training for 11, almost 12 weeks.20200630_184255.jpg

I can’t feed them enough!!! Supposed to be a 10 week strain but they are looking real 12ish lol. So far I can’t complain the nugs are ROCK SOLID! Should I start flushing them?

Looking good, I wont get into the flush/no flush thing. Too many people lose their minds. Do a quick search and you will find more info than you would like here I RIU. There is a flushing thread daily.
My little lady is growing well too but I will be waiting a month or more I think.

Your right about the flush no flush lol. I’ve always flushed but have seen allot of new talks about not flushing.

Istarted to flush anyways. Never seen anything wrong with good ole water. It won’t be long till the big chop.

also your room looks great I know it’s a good feeling going in there and staring at the ladies.

It constantly comes up. Its like an opinion, everyone has their own proven method.

Only way you will ever find out is to test it yourself one day. Grow two clones of the same plant and flush one with your straight water. And taper the feed down on the other until chop and see which you like better. No point in always believing what someone else prefers. Find out so you know.

Well, as a federally licensed caregiver whether I personally grow the medicine I share with my patients or buy medicine from state or federally licensed growers, I must have it all tested for more reasons than one might ever imagine, and believe this or not, really none of them have to do with the potency. But in the last 5 years, since I received my federal license I have personally tested 19 different auto strains for many of my patients which I have also personally helped them grow, and through all those adventures I have never see one of those auto strains reach a potency level that is even close to its photo counterpart, and in many of those comparisons they were actual autos that were directly bred from their photo mama, so they also came from the same breeder that originally created the photo that the auto came from. And in comparing most of those autos to their direct photo counterparts, the auto were always between 15% to 30% less potent their photo counterparts! And he is a few comparison results I have in front of me....

Fast Buds Green Crack Auto 17.27, Cush photo, 23.18
Dinafem white widow XXL Auto 14.96, Shantibaba photo 18.44

I have heard growers calling the '60 day wonder' strain '120 days wonder' - photos are not far behind this timing, each to their own though I guess.

Well here's my Mephisto..Double Grape..

- Started the end of May and grown entirely outside...
This thing has been hit by hail 3 times and still going strong..
And still has another month and a half to stack and develop trichomes..
The terps are already a super strong sweet candy fruit smell..

This debate will always be around..photo vs auto..they each have there place.

How about the benefits of something a little more discrete outside for a guerrilla grow rather to trying to pin down a 8'ft monster.

Ask yourself though..when you drink are you always trying to grab the drink with the most alcohol?...Everyone here swishing Everclear? Of course not...Taste is super important too...

I'll be honest...I smoke weed to enjoy and for me and 99% of the people I know would rather smoke something with less THC (in the 20's), and more flavour than being stuck on the couch unable to function..

Double Grape has tested in the mid-high 20's by the company..

Random shots. I’m ready to get these down and out of the way. Got a PHOTO purple cookies mom I’ve been maintaining for a few perpetual runs.

I just think alot if people don't know how to flush.. a proper flush looks scary as shit.. the plants look sick, battered and bruised.. a complete beatdown.. yet, after a correct dry, cure and storage.. it smokes and tastes amazing.. the terpene profiles are unmasked and dominant.. the flavor is precise. It's not going to kill it.. its going to die in like 2 weeks anyways.

What are you talking about plant looks sick battered and bruised? None of my plants ever look bad like that at the end. However I dont flush and get fantastic fade and all the folks that smoke my stuff all ask how long i flush for. I guess flushing doesn't improve on taste. That comes down to your pheno and your dry/cure and harvesting when ripe. Not killing your plant ahead of time, only thing your doing then is starving your plant in the last 2 weeks when its bulking up and ripening.

Some autos get big. You just have to have the right set up. 5 gallon pots if you have enough light are a must. Drop it right in and water. No changing pots. I’m using 600w HPS and my light is 30” over the canopy.

Heres Northern Lights auto from ILGM after a light defol two days ago. Broke ground 4/25

Three months and still not flowering, that's not an auto. [EDIT] nevermind, didn't notice it was posted in may lol.

I've been growing for a decade, actually started with autos (Lowryder, Lowryder #2 and Purple Ryder). They've definitely improved A LOT. I've ran several Mephisto strains that looked really good and yielded very well, but there's just something missing in the smell/taste department, the highs aren't as interesting either.

Do you man. If you are not 100% organic.. and don't flush, get a test and see what kinda crap you're putting into your body. Flushing is a good thing. Flushing does improve taste because it gets the shit out that masks terpene complexity and the bullshit salts and other nonsense. If everything went right, the bulking and ripening was already already done before you flush. 2% weight is just not worth sacrificing quality in my opinion.

The elements the plant takes up are the same no matter what the source.
One needs breaking down first is all.

A test like this.?

Chad and Brad obviously don't want to flush.. takes too long and the test didn't even tell us what medium, nutrients, temp, rh, ph, airflow, or light height/type and cycle. Did they get a 21 day leaf strip? LST/HST? Scrog? SOG? ..
Just looks skewed to satisfy investors in commercial facilities..

Good luck with your bro science. Look up how biology works and how the plant uptakes nutrients. Whether its organic or synthetic it aborbs calcium, mag, and other elements. It does not hold your nutrients in the plant. It holds sugars and carbohydrates inside the leaves. There's no taste of chemicals your removing, its all in your head. But hey you want to call BS why not show some proof that shows what your talking about? Sorry the test Corey Webster linked is for legal entities, perhaps you have one done by black market who can support your theory?

I love how your calling us chad but your the loser whose clearly flipping his shit out here, good luck in life Kevin.
