Quality tent brands for new growers

So guys that have had low cost tents, with these cheap $100 or less dollar tents if they were jammed full of plants in full flower but you had a good carbon scrubber and fan is there any smell at all that seeps from these things?
 
Good idea fungus. I wanted to beef it up somewhat. For whom was telling me to get agromax, i really wanted to get started so wasgoing to just buy an apollo 4x4 for now.
Get a new one after harvest, any experience with apollo?

As long as negative pressure is maintained, as in, more air being sucked out than is pumped in, odor leak is not an issue as it all goes through the carbon.
 
HTG is the dealer for Agroamx, I would be surprised if with their several retail locations across the country, that another retailer could get you a tent faster. Just my thought. Do what is best for you. Warranty issues can be resolved fast through HTG though in my experience. When you have a crop, that is what matters the most, not the dollar you saved. ;)
 
My filters are hooked up to the fans, they just have a longer duct drawing the air through them keeping the added heat from the fans outside the tents.. In the winter it doesn't make any difference, in August, there is no questions that it helps to keep your temps lower. There should be two fans per tent. One for the light loop (can and should be dumped into the house for the free heat) and one for the carbon/temp/RH loop (can be used the same way if your filter is new). The latter should be run off an enviro controller able to link (bridge temp/RH at least) functions on a single outlet. I use Sentinel CHHC-4 controllers because they are the best IMO, but you can use anything you want with similar functions. Keeping your carbon fan on low (easily adjusted via the controller) 24/7 will keep a negative pressure in the tent and keep your odor down considerably.

Under $200. This is what I use and the quality is great.
 
Just spend the extra 75 - 100 bucks and buy a tent u can use for 4 or 5 or 6 or more. I bought shit tents and wish I would have gotten the right one to begin with. I would never hang my 2500 worth of new LED s in a cheapo
 
I dont NEED a tent i have a 8x10x8 room, just not sure how to successfully seal a grow spot. Some people say you dont need to section it off, not sure whzt to do?

How do you ventilate then?
 
Can anyone link some grows of room that dont have tents? Im worried about humidity being harder to control.

Dude my whole from November to February my humidity was between 15 and 30%. Right now in my veg room the digital humidity sensor won't even pick it up because its so low. Stop worrying so much lol. They're plants. They wanna grow, just allow them the opportunity.

I flowered my girls in a tent with temps at 59 to 66degrees and average humidity of 15% and they powered through. Obviously not optimal but I work with what I have, I'm not gonna put in heaters and humidifiers and a whole bunch a bullshit then I don't wanna deal with unless absolutely necessary.
 
I understand. People say to use the whole room then i ask if they have or have any threads with a grow like that and i havnt seen one. Id rather spend my money on good ventilation but idk what tp do.. im buying SOMETHING today grow tent or whatever.
 
Kindsir, no offense but I just wanted to give you my two bits that your questions are quite basic and therefore not best answered in a pot forum. The tent question drew a bunch of us in, but now you're asking q's that are best answered through basic reading on (dare I say it) "What makes a plant tick."

Seriously no offense, the folks at RIU are very helpful and a bunch of your q's will be answered- but with accurate answers? Only occasionally. (you've already seen some flamers go at it here in this thread supposedly about tents...) Obviously you've LOTS to learn, and I recommend getting the base level of knowledge via general grow books or reading the shit out of the forums here. They're a way better place to nail down a lot of the basic understanding of grow spaces, plants, etc. Then come back and post threads with specific questions that you can't find answers to.

Again I don't mean to be a dick but whole room vs tent and simple ventilation questions are covered ad infinum and expertly throughout this site. Folks at RIU are endlessly helpful, but honestly for the simple(r) questions you're asking here, some of the general grow guides will give you way better advice than the back/forth you'll get here.

I got mixed answers to a primary concern of mine. I have alot of info on growing to start well and learn but a sturdy grow tent review or a good diy grow room was sought after bymyself. Thats it.
 
I know man. Ive seen these mother tents and short tents that could be used for veg. Always cheaper then normal.

i got a 28 inch x 52 inch x 80 with a 4 foot 8 bulb t5 for veg two months and a 5 foot x 5 x 80 with a 600 watt hps flower working good i'm out of room
did not post my tents b/c can't find them online any more cheap but works no smell or holes

I have a 120 dollar 1.2 m by 1.2 m by 2 m tent with a small scrubber and when it looks like this I have little bita smell in room tents in but non what so ever outsideimage.jpg
