question about flowering

My plants are about nine inches tall no pre flowers yet, I plan to switch to 12/12 lighting soon to initiate flowering, but I have some questions/issues.

The plants are already ten weeks old but they've only been fed twice due to adverse reactions; some took well to the nutes and others did not. My question is, how will going into flowering without adding any nutes affect my buds/harvest? Will they be okay just feeding off the Ocean Forest?

Another concern I have is the plant thats still showing severe symptoms of nute burn? I would continue to veg it until the nute burn goes away but size is an issue for me

Haven't grown in soil, but my plants ALWAYS need more nutes when going into flower then they did in veg using coco.

Keep an eye on them, and if the fan leaves start turning pale on you, they need food. Your soil is good, from what I've read, but I don't think it's good enough to get you through flower.

Best of luck.

What is your pH? I admit I leave deficiency/overdose problems to the experts, but that looks like lockout to me.

the new growth looks basically pretty good, a bit of slight burning in a few tips.. what kind of food are you feeding them? it's not the fact that you fed them that was the problem, it's the fact that you over feed them that's the issue..
the effected leaves will never fully recover ime.. you have to judge the over all health of the plant by the newest growth a lot of times... if you feed them, only give them about 1/4 of what it says on the bottle(S).. that one looks healthy enough to flower imo.. you could always clip off the dead bits of the leaves if you want if you don't wanna look at them, i sometimes do that if it's just a small bit of the end of the leaves..

racer - yeah i thought the new growth looked good too but as it matures the burn hits it. and i use BPBP at 1/4th stregth when i did feed

it looks hot and thirsty. That dark green-bluish color means a lot of nitrogen and you might have a micro-nute deficiency. Honestly I would get some all-purpose fert like jacks even miracle grow and give it a 1/2 dose. The nitro burn will affect flowering onset and P and K will give your roots a needed boost.

Its botanicare pure blend pro and yeah it was thirsty haha left the house for a day
Is Botanicare pro that coco, perlite mix with organics? If so, it sucks!! I cant tell you 100 % why but results were bad among others I know too. Something makes it unstable PH I think and regular rinsing at 5.8 will break the buffer.

10 weeks is a long time to reach 9 inches. I soaked seeds 2 weeks ago. Then moved to towels. On day 4 they got planted. Right now they are already 2 inches tall and forming the 3rd set of leaves. With a T5. Are you sure you have the proper cfl? The less intense the light is the lighter you have to feed. Less light it takes longer for the plant to use the nutes. From there it snowballs the longer the soil is moist without drying out. The further the PH drops. But when you get the nute level right I'd suggest switching to T5. I use HIDs but for cuttings or seedlings it's the T5s. If it's not a HO cfl I'd say lighting played a roll in it as well nute burn

yeah i realize how far behind they are. each plant has at least 3 23w 6500k bulbs so idk i thought it was enough but guess i was wrong

It sounds to me like those are standard cfls. They make High Output cfls but your not going to find them in Home Depot. I don't believe. If you are going to take the time and effort to grow. I'd imagine you want the best product possible for the time and money spent? I've got a 6 light by 4 foot fixture. Each tube is 54 watts HO for a total of 324 watts. It doesn't throw off much heat similar to the cfl. No external ballasts just plug it in and hang it up. The 2 foot fixture I think runs at about half the watts. But you'll get more bang for your buck with HO but the watts don't increase. Plus the fixtures aren't to expensive. Lights equal energy. The more energy the plant gets the more energy it can expend. Now I ask you how hard do you want your plant to work to produce? You can't go cross country with a golf cart without stopping to plug it in. That is similar to your plant. It works all day and stores energy in those leaves. If it's struggling to survive how much effort can be put in to storing energy for flowering??

may sound stupid but did you small pot and the plant in the bigger pot of soil

why is there a round dry circle of soil in the middle and the rest of the soil soaked ?

i would have a larger set up if i wasn't trying to keep it concealed. im in an apartment. and i water around the stem to promote root growth

Judging by how white your perlite is, it looks like you just transplanted before you took the picture. It also looks like you have had your plant in a red cup for way to long and a that it got root-bound along with stunted growth and over fert.
