Question on autoflower's and grow/bloom switch on LED lighting

Sorry people, really new to this, but I figured it's more appropriate in this section that the newbie central so please bear with me.

I have 5 auto white widows that just hit 26 days. Most are getting the preflower white hairs and I'm using LED's that have both a grow and bloom switch - two Meizhi 450w (195w actual) lights. I can have grow/bloom on one at a time or together. So when do I turn on the bloom switch? Is there a certain point? Now? Do I wait until all are showing? Being autos I believe it won't matter what I do, they will flower when they want to.

I tried finding this out myself but everything related to how much light to give them, not necessarily when to switch to the bloom light.

Thanks in advance!

I would give them a pk boost and flip both switches on

Both On .... Always
Ah.. didn't know that.

Just turned them on and fed them with Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom at 1/2 strength each. I bought the FF trio, but I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the hell Big Bloom does. Per the label it is P=0.5%, K=0.7%, Iron=.10%. That seems to be it. Tiger Bloom is N=2%, P=8%, K=4%, and a much of other minerals in fractions of a percent (Boron at 0.02% for example).

Why am I using both? Because that's how Fox Farm makes money? Or does Big Bloom do something I'm not aware of?

Partly the money thing but if you are in soil , big bloom is the ORGANIC “ bottle “ out of any of them.

Grow big is a base veg nute .... easy to burn with.
If you are using feed schedule start lighter than shown .... you will find FF nutes salt up fast so DEFINITELY do plain water BETWEEN feedings ( to break it up ) .. they are pretty concentrated.

Led grows will use less nutes during its grow as it does not let plants transpire as quickly as HPS / HID lights. You will space out watering and feed farther apart once you see how long it takes to dry before watering and or feeding.

They are 27+ days old now and I've only fed once, Big Grow, but at 1/4 strength. Otherwise it was just plain water and once with Cal Mag when it became apparent I had an issue. Appreciate all the info!

I think I finally have the watering thing down. I watered until I had run off this time. I bought a big 5 gallon paint bucket and a 14" charcoal grill grate, placed that over the bucket, and put the fabric pots on top. Worked like a charm. Just let them sit there 5-10 minutes until the drips stopped and started with the next plant. This way I didn't have the leave the grow room, which is why I couldn't water correctly before.

I'm taking all the knowledge I get here and putting it to good use, so thanks for taking the time to reply. It's definitely appreciated and very helpful!

It takes a few grows under your belt to see what works for you regardless of who chimes in.

I got tired of the variables of issues doing soil.
I haven’t completely abandoned it but like soiless much better. Hempy grows .

Most growers realize later that issues and performance VARY between BAGGED SOIL choices. I actually like FFOF but it is heavy with amendments... so i CUT IT with a milder mix or only use it at bottom third of pot as a SUPER SOIL .... and top rest of container with something LIGHTER like Happy Frog.

I like Dr. Earth bagged veg garden mix ... its like a lighter FFOF ... plants really love this shit. And you can STILL run water only for a few weeks before supplementing it with feed.

Makes more sense to me to sow seed into final pot then water it like a HOUSE PLANT ... no micro dosing feed or other shit ... just let it grow , with light , water and air. THEN when it comes time to flower BUMP it with bloom ... craxy simple. Those that break down EC / ML and other shit complicate it . Its a god damn plant just like my tomatoes , succulents , and chili... i dont throw much at those ... occasionly a top dress of new soil that gets watered in. No Mammoth this ir that , No RO water , No unicorn farts , No flushing , just letting the damn thing grow.

Best tip :
More Light - More Bud
