Question

So I’ve been looking into how to make my own feminized seeds. Am going to do colloidal silver method. But here’s my question rather than having more than one plant can I spray a few branches then allow those branches to pollinate the rest of the plant itself?!

Yes.......But, a self-pollinated plant will produce a high percentage of herm seeds.
With a definitive statement like that, I'd like to see your proof. I've run my own feminized seed without issue when "regs" have hermed on me more frequently.

I use STS is easier and is applied much less frequently. Yes, starttreating a lower branch or two about 4 or 5 days before the flip and you should have enough time for it to pollinate and seeds to mature before harvest.

I have done research into this years ago, from what i remember.. Selfed seeds (pollen and seed from the same plant) do tend to be more Hermi prone. Your best bet is to use Herm one plant and let it seed up another plant or 2. I can not quote where i found this info, it has been ages since I had a plant herm, self pollinate, grew some of the seeds all were fem. some hermed. now im not saying you will get herms. but if i ever tried to breed fem seeds, I would avoid Selfed seeds totally. Feel free to look it up.

Idk id say if you chemically reversed one female then use it its ok i wouldnt ever use an actual herm in place of the father donor in this case still another female plant if you use a actual herm you opening up problems down the line for yourself imo well made fems can be stable it just has to be made from stable parental stock to begin with

What's a good source for STS
You can make it or buy it you mix it yourself with water id buy it n do it that way reversal sprays aint worth the extra you pay unless its your only option obviously in my opinion

And hopefully the girl you hermi is homozygous to her traits.
Just make sure the one you hit with the pollen is totally different in structure, if the one you hermi is indica dom. throw her pollen on a more sat dom, if you can if not make sure they structurally as different as possible .

Not sure why the drama - it’s pretty easy .

Whether STS or Collodial silver ( I use silver mountain CS ) at about 50 ppm suspension. For CS - try to get a suspension of 20 ppm or greater.
DIY CS generators and techniques are on line also. I use an old Tiresias Mist sprayer but any “ Travel size “ pump mister will work.

Ive done whole plants / solo grow / select branch crossing , pretty much the same . For branches , pick a couple lowers on a known female .
Begin spraying the “ nodes “ of those branches - twice a day . I used a styrofoam cup cut to make a “ collar “ to eliminate drift from spray treatment.

After that …. I would remove branches that form nuts / put in water cup ( away from grow ) - either on a glass plate or mirror.
Pollen will fall , I collect then apply to any of the now flowering plants with a small makeup brush. Sometimes I just do 2 other branches then let plant go thru harvest. Seeds need about 6 weeks to mature - but rest of plant can be harvested and consumed. Don’t smoke any branches coated with CS.

I prefer the 2 cup method - Fem photos or “ autos “
Using 2 solo cups / starter mix or mild mix / fem seeds .

I take 2 seeds of same strain , plant in cups , grow them under 12/12 REGARDLESS if photo or autoflower.
For example : 2 KKP ( King Kong poison - Durban Poison x GG4 ) from Hazeman Seeds.

1 cup will be the reversed , the other the mother . I spray entire “ reverse cup “ til It shows pods - and use on other cup when that is “ preflowering “ under 12/12 . Once completed , reverse cup is tossed - seeded cup runs til seeds develop and mature. Easy peezy.

Notice the left cup is the “ reverse “ cup and has began to show pods.
Right cup is beginning “ preflower “ , so once pods develop fully and create pollen , other cup gets pollinated. FD2F5CF4-D6DE-4138-AF16-3C9378E231E0.jpeg
