I'm just about ready to start mixing my soil up and I am looking for some advice about how I should mix my soil.
Here's what I have;
4 cb. ft of Pro-mix. (75-85% Peat moss, Perlite, and Limestone)
4 5 gallon buckets (0.85 cb. ft each)
0.35 Lbs of Growing Bat guano (10-3-1)
1.1 Lbs of Flowering Bat guano (2-17-0)
9L of Extra Perlite (Wasn't sure If I should mix in more with the soil or not)
2 46-watt CFL's
1 100watt Lighthouse Hydro Blackstar LED grow light (6 band)
Hydrometer
Digital ph tester
Home made 267Cfm Activated Carbon scrubber
My grow box is 4.6 sq/ft or 2.5"x1.85".
The instructions for the vegging Bat guano say;
"Mix 1 Tbl Spoon (15ml) per plant and water abundantly. You can top dress or simply mix in with soil..."
What the hell does that mean? Before I transplant into my 5 gallon buckets should I just put a tablespoon in the hole with each plant? Or sprinkle it on the top of the soil? Do I really only need 1 Tbl spoon of guano per 5 gallon bucket for the entire growing cycle??
The Flowering guano says;
"Transplanting: Mix in 3 tablespoons of guano per plant. Water abundantly.
Anticipation of flowering: Lightly scatter guano on surface of plants near the stem 1-2 months before flowering and water abundantly.
Flowering: Add 3 tbl spoons of guano per gallon of hot water. Mix, let cool, add to surface of plants."
Are all those steps necessary? The time lines seem a bit off, of course, but should I be mixing the both the Vegging and Flowering nutes into the soil before the plants get transplanted?
So here's what I make of it;
From what it says on the Vegging guanno I just mix 1 Tbl spoon into the soil and that's all the nutes the plant gets over the whole vegging cycle.
But the Flowering guano gets mixed in, AND gets administered over the whole flowering cycle, via guano tea.
Is there anything else I should be using? Will this grow me some killer buds?
I'm growing "BCBD - The Purps", feminized and I'd like to grow a scrog setup if these facts make any difference.
Thanks for the help guys!
