If you're looking for a great sativa, check out the Sativa Seed Bank's Royal Flush. It's an F1 hybrid of a Mexican sativa and Nirvana's Jock Horror. The buds have a very unique scent (mango/candy) while growing and after a good cure the smoke is sweet and spicy. I have found that there are two very distinct phenotypes when growing this strain. One of my plants displayed obvious Indica traits. It finished just shy of 10 weeks flowering and while the high was lackluster, yields were much greater. The other phenotype I witnessed leaned heavily to the sativa side. That plant took almost 12 weeks to finish. The buds were more compact, but she was completely covered in trichomes. It reminded me of Nirvana's Ice strain. The final yield was disappointing but the smoke was sublime. Seriously some of the best weed I have ever smoked. I now have a clone of that plant which I use as a mother.

sativa seeds is really nirvana. it's just a sister brand for all of their sativa gear. they even renamed their mexican strain el dorado. i have some of that 7 urban poison i'm keen on testing and had wicked vigorous & stretchy results from their mixed sativa strain once it's tiny seeds took root (i THOUGHT i was getting a mix of ALL of their sativas & not an actual strain). i also tried growing out there full moon (highland thai) and got the dismal results that would be expected trying to grow such a fussy IBL indoors. it took forever to flower, was still nute starved after transplanting to 3 gallons, turned hermie as soon as it started flowering and for some reason (light starvation?) the tiny early bud i smoked when i cut it down for spraying my garden was more stony than psychoactive, but it's growth habits were pure IBL and it's tutti fruity (juicy fruit gum) flavor is off the charts sexy and what you get from real highland thai.

it wouldn't surprise me if their haze was actually what used to be called their H19 skunk at nirvana without looking the lineage up. i can say this much, theirs looked much more sativa than high quality seeds' haze x skunk which STILL isn't habby and is fuhreekin' POTENT

I've always liked my Thai leaning trainwreck cut. It's super frosty, powerful and yields huge floppy foxtailed buds that smell great. The only problem is she has a tendency to pop a male flower or two and has weak, vine-like stems. I just ran her and she outperformed the other 2 strains(Cheese, OG Kush Ghost Cut) that were in there with her.

Yes. Sativa Seed Bank and Nirvana are one and the same. Actually, the "Royal Flush" strain used to be called "Nirvana Special". Both were crosses of a sativa from the Oaxaco region of Mexico and Nirvana's Jock Horror. The genetics may not be particularly stable, but if you get that specific phenotype I was raving about, you'd have a uniquely sweet breeding mother with high THC content. With this particular phenotype, it's as if the haze genetics of the Jock Horror have combined perfectly with the sweetness of the Mexican sativa. And I mean sweet. I've grown Nirvana's Bubblelicious in the past and the Royal Flush is much sweeter. Medium yielding pheno, but with a relatively short flowering period (75 days) that will produce some of the stickiest frostiest bud you'll ever see. You can really tell it's a white strain as it will be absolutely covered in crystals by the 5th week of 12/12.. The high is very haze like, psychoactive and energetic. A perfect day-time medication.

That's a great collection of beans you've got there. If you're truly interested in breeding, check out Seedism Seed Bank. It'll cost you a pretty penny, but they've got some truly old-school genetics in their sativa selection.

i've heard of seedism. is their gear legit? i'm really leery of buying IBLs after getting shanked by kindseed/VISC for over $50 on burmese that did nothing but squirt out maybe half a dozen twisted mutants that never made it to second leafsets. (i'm still trying to find reports on BC bud depot's GEAR, but going by their BANK reports, they're sketchy). i, like someone else here also got 0% out of my 5 delta 9 labs' mekong haze and have heart a lot of neg rep against reeferman & seedsman. unless dealing with sativa seeds or reeferman or some other breeder with a solid rep, i'm not keen on rolling the dice on IBLs anymore.

if you're interested, this is my current trophy case collection starting with the grapey pheno joey weed C99s i crossed:
C99 x C99 (duh!)
C99 x super cali hazei really have literal high hopes for this to be more compact, but grapey & psychoactive
C99 x (haze x skunk)
C99 x LSD

& a couple of other unknown (mixed them up accidentally) UFOs got the last of the pollen, or knocked up by my full moon thai that hermied as well as 4 bagseeds from an interesting grapes & pine mid that tasted nice without too much couchlock i want to use in a grapes & fruit breeding session after i get a head stash breed out

the breeder gear i have is
C99 x A11 - joey weed
C99 x blueberry - joey weed
el dorado - sativa seeds, oaxican IBL
urban poison - sativa seeds, 25% NL#5
gnomo - kannabia, 45 day from seed trippy strain (?)
SAGE - TH Seeds
roadrunner - dinafem
royal haze - dinafem
laughing buddha - barney's
buddha's sister x G13 haze- soma (2x) a breeder if i have a male for it's tart cherry flavor
sweet deep grapefruit - dinafem
white russian - G13 labs
easy rider - lowrider
kali mist - serious seeds (1x) a breeder if i have a male
haze skunk - high quality seeds, super potent "indoor IBL"
8 miles high - mandala, i definitely want to use this as a breeder for couchlock free strains, especially if i can get a strawberry pheno

i might continue growing some of my Blue mystic, it has purple genetics which i never thought it had and it smells like blueberry diesel(this pheno) and im gonna perpetually grow it. i actually found myself 2 dank keepers from a nirvana 10 regs pack, sativa leaning pheno is my favorite, definitely a 9-10 week strain. some can finish in 8.

if memory serves me right, flo or blue moonshine are the two DJ shorts' strains i'd be most interested in trying.

that looks like a nice variety of strains covering a variety of effects.

as to "pure C99", brothers grimm are no longer in biz, but the descriptions i've read for mosca's C99s indicate that it has some potent pineapple phenos as well as some stoney ones too. that sounds odd to me as C99 is supposed to be nothing but racy to flat out paranoid.

i like joey weed's grape pheno C99s. very nice buds and both the tall & short phenos had pretty much the same energetic buzz, but i think i'll like his C99 x A11 cross better as it should add some trippy psychoactivity & slow the buzz down a little making it more chillout friendly.

i just saw in another thread that several breeders are doing C99 now although the reports i've read on nirvana's version haven't been too favorable.

What sativas were grown in Hawaii to make Maui Wowie or Kauai Electric? I remember the Kauai Electric being very psycoactive.

there hasn't been any info on greenthumb's "potent pineapple" C99s in over a year by now, but that was one i really wanted to try when it was still for sale. even MORE than that though, i'd really like to get my hands on his original cherrybomb sativas! it looks like greenthumb is just back to talking weed again these days.

oh wait... i was talking about dr greenGENES! i don't know anything about greenthumb, but greengenes is a great old school breeder that also did C99 a couple years ago for a minute.

the strain known as hawaiian sativa, at least as formerly sold at seedbanks sounds A LOT like burmese & apollo 11. all three share similar lemony flavors, mellow but trippy buzzes & reasonably compact forms according to their descriptions anyways. all 3 aren't that easy to find anymore. i WISH BC bud depot didn't have such a sketchy rep as i'd love to try their burmese after getting shanked with VISC's useless mutant schwag.

Did the Hawaiian Sativas originally come from Columbian Sativas? Is there a family tree anywhere that shows the locations of the original strains before the Humbolt geniuses started making the hybrids?

i'm glad to see that we're back on civil terms. i have a naturally direct way of talking that rubs people the wrong way until i start getting trolled into a banning and would like to stay here as i really dig smoke reports & reporting. sorry for getting so uppity, but i'm still not over getting banned from grasscity when a troll tried to make it look like i was running 2 accounts when i changed my name in public.

as to hawaiian sativas, there are likely many of them. i seem to remember reading that at leastsome of them had asian genetics. i'll go check my cannabible and marrijuana botany books as the former has a few pages just on hawaiian pakololo (crazy weed) strains and the latter great IBL info.

MJ botany just mentions hawaiian strains have clear resin glands like other IBLs.

cannabible has a few hawaiian crosses mentioned in it's 3 books and i'm about to skim the "maui wowie" pages to see if anything specific comes up.

"Most growers in Hawaii don't know precisely what they're growing"
and continues to talk about how (wild grown apparently) all the strains grown there acclimate & change.

BTW, if you're looking for a long flowering hawaiian IBL, arjan's 1/2 laotian hawaiian snow gets a thumbs up from the author

I had heard that some people have traced the Sativas to Thai which makes alot of sense. I remember back in those days (70s) that I thought Lumbo Gold was the good stuff until I tried the red haired Hawaiian. Then in the 80s it was the artichoke Afghan buds and Thai sticks. Since then I have enjoyed the Humboldt super buds here and there. I just finished growing out some donated seeds of what I think is White Widow. I am waiting for the donator to return from WY.
